$800 a month is equivalent to 35-40,000.00 pesos.
I think it can. My budget per month is 18,000.00 and I live modestly alone.
Consider these expenses:
Rent - 10,000.00
Water - 1,000.00
Electricity - 3,000.00
Food for 5 people in 30 days - 15,000.00
I think you will live quite modestly. You can afford additional luxuries like enrolling in a gym.... add 2,500.00 a month.

According to the president, the filipinos are doing reall well, because now the average yearly salary is $ 1,400.
$800/month should be pretty good depending on your lifestyle. (I get lot more than that in US retirement, and wife still manages to spend it all).

yes u probably can. just make sure that u live in a not so developed community like makati, ortigas, and such areas. 40,000 pesos can cover a family of five for a month in the phil.

Definitely yes. Some jobless people are able to live even without subsidy from the government. In North America, it is difficult to be jobless, nobody will care for you.

If you live with moderation, that should be a very comfy level over there.
