A balikbayan box would be most appreciated. You can buy stuffs from the garage sale, discount sales.
Send them an email instead and ask them to print. It's all the same letter from you. Internet cafes are all over the country. How about that?

The very easiest way if you are going to send money on an ongoing bases is; 1. Open a second bank acount in your country. 2. Send the bank (ATM) card to the person in the Philippines, but do not include the PIN. 3. After they recieve the bank card, send the pin in email or a text msg to them. You can control how much you send by how much you deposit in the second bank account that you opened in your country (USA) or where ever. And you can do a transfer to the second bank account with online banking , so you don't even have to go to the bank. It's just so simple. The person in the Philippines can take the money out at any ATM that uses either PLUS or CIRUS bank cards, which ever one your bank uses. The person in the Philippines can get the money in Pesos in like 5 minutes after you deposit. This is how I have sent money for 3 years to my wife. She texts me if she needs and within 30 minutes she has the money. Forget Western Union, it cost to much and bank transfers are a pain, take 5 or more days and cost to much, plus they don't garuntee that the money will ever arrive.

Oh well... I thought you had no limit on size. Some of the things that are impossible to get are horseradish, paprika (very hard to get), polish sausage, and good cheeses (although they'd kill for Velveta).
In an envelope you can send pictures, and money is always appreciated.

Send the only thing that interests them, and that which they would find the most useful - money.

l sent my sisters in the US vcd's that fit in a brown letter-size envelope. lt's not too expensive anyway.
Try a keychain, bracelet, anklet or rosary (if Catholic). A cute brooch will also be appreciated.
