It's true! Sunday mass/services are now conducted in malls across my island nation. If you can't bring people to God, bring God to the mall.

and bishops are now riding in sports utility vehicle like a toyota fortuner.
so much for poverty. i missed the days when priests and nuns where put in jail.
those were the days when poverty and chastity was still the norm for the religious.

Well, it's true but it's not new.

Actually, commerce and religion have been one for a long time. You will find in the constitution that majority of the churches (religions) are exempted to pay taxes that's why other businesses are named under a religious organization for obvious reasons....

Yes..not only in the Phils but in the whole world...Its been a practice since the creation of the world..remember the spanish that brought the Christianity in the Phils thru Mactan. They travelled over seas and oceans for years..risking their lives..how much more today where the communication and transportation is very easy.
