I love Osaka, but never had much time to travel elsewhere. Any recommendations and reasons why you like that particular city (big or small city)? Thanks

This is unusual in the U.S. but I hear it is kind of typical in Japan. Is it a custom or what? Again, this is what I heard as I have not been to Japan but plan on going their to live...

Hi,
I'm off to Japan (few cities) and it just dawned on me to ask this - since I will be travelling alone, how (un)comfortable could it be to, for example, visit restaurants or other places alone? I've travelled alone before and experiences differed from strange looks to ignorance. What to expect in Japan?
(some friends mentioned that being white female may be a bit of the safety issue, esp on trains)... Most importantly, any places i SHOULDN'T go alone? thank you soo much.
M.

learn English. I read a few Japan websites which stated that Japanese people only like foreigners because they can learn English. Also, many Japanese girls only like foreigners because they hate their own race and find White men as a status symbol. I am just writing down what I heard and not saying it is 100% fact. I just want to hear your opinions or experiences on this or anything else you can add...

Me and a few friends are packing up out of the US to, hopefully, Japan sometime in the next year or so. I was wondering if there's a website that would give me information on living there. Jobs, Education, Apartments ect. Thanks in advance.

I've just registered as a member of Linkshare Japan, run by Rakuten.

However, in order for me to get paidfor the commissions earned, I need to have a Japan bank account.

The company do not issue check, only direct deposit to Japan bank account(checking/saving).

I know it is impossible to get a Japan bank account since I do not resides in Japan.

I am unable to participate in he program until I get a Japan bank account.

Any idea how to solve this problem?

Anyone in Japan willing to lend his/her bank account? I am willing to pay commissions for usage of your bank account.

Sorry if the idea is absurd and sound crazy. But I am really out of option.

Or do you have better idea? Please help.

Does anyone know where I can buy a shot glass in Tokyo? Is it even possible? I`ve looked everywhere, especially in tourist areas and I`ve been unable to find it. I`ve even tried describing it to my friends and they say that they`ve never seen or heard of something like that. Is it rare? It`s meant to be a souvenir for a friend who collects them.

Has anyone even seen one for sale in Tokyo? Please share.
