I love Osaka, but never had much time to travel elsewhere. Any recommendations and reasons why you like that particular city (big or small city)? Thanks

I would have to reccomend the towns of Hokkaido.
Almost everyone goes to Tokyo for a holiday, but it is the Japanese who take a holiday to Hokkaido. It is beautiful. Snowy mountains on one side, beach on the other side, fields of flowers in the spring (lol, sounds like here in New Zealand!)
the winter is bitter cold, so do like the Japanese do and do a bike tour around the island, you wont be disapointed. Start from Hakodate and go all the way up to Wakanai.

I like Sendai. The city is not too big, or too small. When I lived there I could work until 17:00 (we had no overtime Wednesdays) and then drive to the ski slope in about 40 minutes. The summers there are a lot more bearable than in other parts of Japan, and the winters are definitely not in the Sapporo category.

I only spent one night in Osaka, but it was a lot of fun. It has a great night life. lots of clubs. Kyoto is a nice place to go if you want to see more of traditional Japan. That's where some of the best temples are. It still has a night life, but not as much of one. It's more based around shopping and bars and arcades. I didn't see any clubs. Also, I LOVED Tokyo. The only parts I got to visit were Shibuya and Rippongi, but I loved what I saw of it.

I like Tokyo, the capital city,
many things to do and to see.
Well, I personally like Sapporo and the surrounding cities in Hokkaido the most.
You get to see the snow while enjoying the onsen.
The people are nicer because they are not in a busy/stress mood as Tokyo people do.
Osaka or Tokyo has way too many people, sometimes you just feel like you can't breath.

I liked Fukuoka and Sapporo. I know they are on opposite ends of Japan. They both have their own distinct culture. They have beautiful settings and have lots to do. I might like Sapporo a little better but I couldn't handle the winter.
