I have been fighting a cold for a month now and at the same time flying quite a lot. Each time I have a problem with equalizing the pressure in my ears, especially during descent. It hurts and it leaves me half-deaf for a couple of hours (2 days once). Anyone know of any good remedies to this problem?

My wife was in an auto accident on Oct 26 in Indianapolis, Indiana and broke her back. She has been in the Methodist Hospital or the RHI rehab center in Indy since that date. She is going to be released from the rehab center this Friday (November 17) and come home. Home is in Hiawatha, Kansas, which is 100 miles northwest of Kansas City. Flying is the best option for traveling home, but what is available to take care of a patient with a broken back that is free for the patient or relatively cheap? Some one told me about Angleflight but I'm not that familiar with it.

Ok here it goes. Nov. 7 was my first time on an airplane. I was pretty nervous and didn't eat anything hardly all day. We flew to Missouri and left Fri. Oct 10. We got on a small plane first and there was a storm up. I started feeling very queasy and I didn't eat anything afterwards either. Now that I am home, I feel so drained, and I have diarreha. Could it be that my nerves were so tore up from the plane ride? I was extremely nervous and scared, and is my body trying to get back to normal? Has anyone else ever felt like this?
