Not only will it NOT help her in obtaining an airline job, it will serve as a detriment. These courses are a complete waste of money and effort.

In my 10 years as a flight attendant, not one coworker I have ever met got hired this way.

The Air Hostess are also call Cabin Crew, some double as ground crew. This way they have both male or female(cabin crew). So do not over look the ground crew jobs.

Most of the Air Hostess Certificate Courses are bogus, they do not have placement guarantees.

Air line train them on their equipment and on their protocol a certificate may in some remote instance help a little.

Getting a certification for an "Air Hostess" course is the last thing you want to do...

If she gets hired as a FLIGHT ATTENDANT anywhere else, they will train her to their specifications. Having a certifcation will actually deminish her chances of ever getting a real job as a FLIGHT ATTENDANT because most airlines view those qualifications as a joke.

We also don't use "AIR HOSTESS" anymore either.

Probably. The UK is in Europe, so flights would require you to be able to speak in the language of the country you're going to, especially since you're going to be in that country to fly back to the UK. Well, I don't know the specifics but you won't only have English speaking passengers. Going back and forth from France and the USA, all the air hostesses were able to speak English and French from what I could see/hear especially when they make announcements. They said the same thing in both languages. In Paris, just about everyone who worked at Charles de Gaulle was able to speak English as well, even if it wasn't their native language which I could tell.
