A friend kindly bought me a lovely book full of Jewish jokes. Now, my question to you all is: are you up for a bit of humour? I don't know if everyone will appreciate all the jokes, but if the majority would like, I'll be happy to post some jokes later tonight when I get home...

So just let me know...

This same question was posted on the Ramadan section (about the Ramadan section users) and I voted for myself on that section (but I got 11 thumbs down, lol).

Now who do you think is the most interresting person on this section?

Most South Africans speak English, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll understand what they're talking about. South African English has a flavor all of its own. What words do you know of that is generally accepted as "English"?

It is generally accepted that the South African town's name means "French Corner", but "Fransch" definitely doesn't mean "French" in Afrikaans, does it?

I just read an article saying it was based on real world political issues regarding international isolation that faced Apartheid South Africa. For me it was just a cool show.

But , you still Like this person a lot , and respect this person, and It make me sad to lose this him/her.

There are few people like this person, :((

I can't contact him/her , and I want to talk to him/her.

would be states. This is of course 100 % true.

Now will Mark please acknowledge that it wasn't the Jews who stopped that partition plan from happening! They said yes to it - it was the surrounding Arab countries that rejected it. This is verifiable fact - check any history book.

Why won't Mark and others just be fair and acknowledge this?

when the Hamas Charter openly states: 'Israel will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.'?
Hamas wants to destroy Israel and openly admits it:

ARTICLE 28

'The Arab states surrounding Israel are required to open their borders to the Jihad fighters, the sons of Arab and Islamic peoples...'

AND perhaps most tellingly:
'*** 'Israel, by virtue of being Jewish and of having a Jewish population, defies Islam and the Muslims.'

ARTICLE 7

'...The Prophet, prayer and peace be upon him, said: 'The Time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry ;O Muslim, there is a Jew hiding behind me,come and kill him!'

ARTICLE 13

'Peace initiatives and international conferences... are all contrary to the beliefs of the Islamic Resistance Movement.'

This involves the unification of Syria,Jordan,Palestine and Lebanon. I can't imagine a more effective means of bringing peace to the region and in any event this was the compass of historical Syria.

Opinions? I would like to know what the Egyptian policy is on the Strip and also to hear from persons in the Strip on the idea of declaring an independent state. As I understand it,the Gaza Strip is not currently claimed by any nation, yet it has failed to declare itself a nation. Why not?

This involves the idea of the unification of Syria,Jordan,Palestine and Lebanon. I find the idea very attractive. I can see no other "road map to peace" should could actually work. All of this territory was originally Syrian in any event. Opinions?
