This involves the idea of the unification of Syria,Jordan,Palestine and Lebanon. I find the idea very attractive. I can see no other "road map to peace" should could actually work. All of this territory was originally Syrian in any event. Opinions?

A lot of Lebanese dont want to be Syrian, a lot of Jordanians are happy they've been able to stay out of things mostly, most Palestinians just want Palestine back, and Syria is intent on swallowing them all up or manipulating them as succesfully as possible. My opinion is... not a solution.

astonishing question Maya, its gonna be a protracted placed up in case you dont recommendations. This jogs my memory alot of the former UAR the section might flourish if the different arab worldwide places interior the Al Sham section had an economic and political union, im no longer speaking correct to the arab league something greater effectual. good now the rustic money various worldwide places interior the middle East like Egypt and Saudi Arabia with weapons in an attempt to "divide and triumph over". Pit various worldwide places against eachother to poise them for a conflict or some style of hysteria. If there exchange into one among those union the rustic might lose that key benefit and so might Israel. If Syria,Jordan,Palestine and Lebanon the place unified that could reason a number of issues the foremost one is fairness. until now making onother union like that they must examine from the errors of the former UAR. United Arab Rebublic which exchange right into a composite of the two Egypt and Syria. If i undergo in recommendations wisely the component of the UAR mentioned as Egypt until now exchange into having greater effect and sway interior the UAR and the section before mentioned as Syria exchange into malrepresented inflicting Syria to seperate from the UAR and as quickly as back be mentioned as Syria because of the fact the Egyptian component of the UAR exchange into abusing the Syrian section.

You are funny...and so much ingenuous.
Do you imagine USA being part of UK now? Or as Aussie said,Spain, France, and UK being part of Italy bcoz were part of the Roman Empire? Also Syria was part of the Roman Empire.
I live in South America and my country was part of a great nation formed for Argentine, Paraguay, Uruguay and Perú.. have we to be back to 1600 bcoz of that? Each country is sobereign and free. Do you know what that 2 words mean?
Where are you living at?

EDIT...
Well said Webby....that's a good reply.

Attractive to whom? Once again yet another attempt by one lobby to take over Lebanon by stealth.

As far as Lebanon once being part of Syria , so what !
If you were to have a look at the history of nations all over the world their borders , allegiances & identities have changed many times over the years.

That would be like trying to give Britain back to the Romans....after all , Rome ruled most of the known world for up to 400 years !

edit..Webby for President !

For Someone who support Nasrallah you wont see only the Fertile crescent appealed but also the Shiite crescent.

Your information are incorrect all search engine are available from all major Univeristies libraries in the world and not from sa3sa3 University in Syria or any fundamentalist SSNP partisan.

Lebanon was never a part of Syria. Even in the time of Fakhreddin his reign was from Akka (Palestine nowadays) to Tartouss (Syria Nowdays).

We tried this marriage, and not that long ago.
Unfortunately, big brother turned out to be a bully and their understanding of unification was: terrorise, divide, kidnap, kill and steal all you can.
