so what do you do when the 8th grade coach tells the girls to take off their knee pads because in high school they don't wear them, then the coach has. them practicing dives. i need something concrete to take to the principal, talking to the athletic director does nothing.

this is my first yr in volleyball and the coach gave us positions and when we scrimouge everyone switches to there position if they are not in it. do u do this in a real game and why doo you do this?

Theres is this girl on my varsity volleyball team who is a sophmore, and im a senior. she thinks she owns the team and treats every one else like crap. When something goes wrong she blames it on everyone else, even though it's her fault. Every one one the team is getting pretty much fed up with it, but we dont want to tell her. What should i do?

I started playing volleyball for my high school team about 3 weeks ago, I had daily doubles for 2 weeks and now just practices during week days. I've played before and never had any problems like this before, but for the past 2 days I've woken up to very swollen fingers, and the swelling takes about 6 hours to go away. They aren't very swollen during the day time, but they do hurt pretty bad sometimes. Is this normal? Or is it something that doesn't really happen with volleyball players much? I know I haven't jammed any of my fingers. What can I do to stop my fingers from swelling overnight? I can't rest because I have 2 games per week and practice every week day. Please help! And thank you!

ok well i have a really tight schedule and i'm in this symphony and i have some things at my church and v-ball. would you like it if i missed two games and maybe 2 practices? cuz if i miss sectionals on tuesdays, i cant play at the symphony concert.

I have 11 girls on my volleyball team and 5 of them will not be at our tournament because they want to play in their soccer tournament. Of course, they are my 5 best players. Do I sit the 5 out of the next game (well, let them play a little so the parents don't kill me) and let the 6 that are going to be there play or do I keep playing them as I have? I don't think that it is fair for the 6 who are likely to continue playing up through high school to not get as much playing time when they can continue to grow and want to play the sport.

These girls have never been on a losing team in any sport. Can I sacrifice the wins to help the girls that will continue playing the sport past next year get better and have a better shot at making the high school and select team?

Ok, I play volleyball, and am 5'6..Allt he other girls on my team are really short. My coaches go really hard on me because of height..I feel like they think I'm all great because I'm tall and expected to do everything perfect and right. And when I make a mistake, I'm in big trouble for it..Last practice I told them that my height isn't everything, and that I'm human..but they just laughed at me..I used to really love volleyball, and was really excited for it, but now I feel really used, and misunderstood. Everytime after practice I'm in a really bad mood. I just feel like my best isn't good enough..what should I do?

I have seen some japanese and chinese teams run in a circle to each other and clap hands in between plays, but I don't know where to find out how to do this. Any ideas? I just can't keep my varsity team from having that glossed over look.
Also, if anyone knows where I can find a good volleyball warm up program for before the game, I would love that.
Thanks for any help you can give me, because my team is very talented and this is the one thing really holding them back.

My daughter is a senior and her volleyball coach has made a statement that what happens with the volleyball team STAYS only with the volleyball team. In this particular case, one of the girls broke a school rule, but because it was a big game that week, the rule was overlooked and the girl played. The girl's parents were NOT notified about the broken rule (which was a major school rule, the punishment was suspension) and my daughter told us about it. When coach found out our daughter told us, MY daughter was punished for a team infraction. Would YOU confront the coach or NOT?
