If you can't talk about it...you really aren't a team are you?

It has to be opened up...with the coach as a referee...
and you have to work it out for the team to be able to focus on team play.

Well, I guess you (and maybe another tactflul upperclass player)
should take her aside and talk to her. Try to bring up some of the examples she is doing that is causing problems.
If this doesn't work, go to the coach. You need to nip this in the bud before it gets out of hand. Usually, the coach will have the team sit down and have a "b" session and in the end, after tears, things work out better.
Funny how one person can cause so many problems...most teams have one!
I always loved this example:
If a team was sitting in the middle of the gym floor and they were all laughing and having fun...then a teammate came into the gym all upset, the rest of the team would quit having fun to console her.
But, if a team was sitting in the middle of the gym floor all complaining about something....and a teammate came into the gym all happy and laughing, the person who just walked into the gym would turn serious and see what was wrong with the team.
One player CAN make a difference on the team...unfortunetely, it is usually in a negative way.

Fix this now before it festers and causes desention on the team beyond repair.
Make sure if this girl really trys to improve her attitude that you give her a second chance. That can be tough, too!

You all need to talk to your coach. And honey, when you get into college, it doesn't get any better. You're going to be in classes that require group work, and you're going to have that know it all jerk every time! Just talk to your coach and let her know that she's not being a team player, and is dragging everyone down. It's the coach's responsiblity after that. If the coach does nothing, then the team or team captain will need to confront her. If all else fails, break her legs so she can't play anymore... j/k

Even though you may not want to tell her, you need to or the problem will persist. You're a senior and you are suppossed to be a team leader. Letting an underclassman take over shows your weakness. Your teammates will respect you more if you make a stand. Also, why not talk to the coach and see what he/she can do about it.

nicely, I guess you (and doubtless an extra beneficial tactflul upperclass participant) can ought to take her aside and communicate to her. attempt to positioned across up between the considered necessary examples she is doing it really is causing themes. If this does no longer paintings, pass to the coach. you should nip this interior the bud in the previous than it receives out of hand. many times, the coach would have the gang sit down down and performance a "b" consultation and finally, after tears, concerns be certain more beneficial. humorous how one personality can purpose such an excellent number of themes...such lots communities have one! I continually cherished this representation: If a set change into sitting interior the middle of the fitness center floor and so that they have been all giggling and having amusing...then a teammate were given the following into the fitness center all dissatisfied, the leisure of the gang ought to offer up having amusing to console her. yet, if a set change into sitting interior the middle of the fitness center floor all complaining about even if....and a teammate were given the following into the fitness center all satisfied and giggling, the nature who merely walked into the fitness center ought to turn severe and see what change into unsuitable with the gang. One participant can make a replace on the gang...unfortunetely, that's quite typically in a nasty frame of mind. restore this now in the previous than it festers and elements desention on the gang previous restore. Make sure if this woman quite trys to improve her perspective that you merely furnish her a second possibility. that would also be hard, too!

I find it helps to pull her to the side and tell her the problem since most don't like to feel confronted in front of a crowd. If she's mature, she should be able to listen and take it all in stride without blowing up like an obnoxious know-it-all. If she can't.... I'm sure you can fill in the blanks.

Beatings. Seriously though. The only suggestions I have are from my time in the Army and they were not nice to say the least. Usually it involved a blanket and several bars of soap in socks.
