TOTALLY 12.6 FIELD PLAYERS AND 6 SUBSTITUTES

I'm on a highschool volleyball team, so you can trust my answer. It really depends on what type of volleybal that you are playing.

Indoor volleyball has 6 people on the court at one time, a middle blocker, Ds Libero, outside hitter, setter, opposite, and forward.

However, a good guy friend of mine plays beach volleyball, which is usually played with two people on the court.

But if you're asking how many people are on the actual team, it really depends on the coach. My team has eleven girls on it while varsity has like eight. It's in the coach's power to choose the best players to put on the court and then have a few backups in case one gets hurt or can't make a game.

There can be as many players on the team as the coach wants, there just has to be at least 6. On my team we had to make a cut because we didn't have enough jerseys. So those kind of things can change that answer too =D

6 players can be on each side of the court at a time,
but usually coaches accept up to 12 people on a team so you have 6 people on the sideline (:

ok...in the starting up...pay interest to the ball....even with the reality that if that is not any longer coming your way, because you not in any respect comprehend if the ball WILL come flying your way. once you're in the front row, pretty in the middle, if it is going over your head, basically duck, so the fellow in the back of you need to comprehend that you're not any more getting the ball. pass it!! pass for the ball, do not basically stay a statue. Bend you knees! continuously call the ball, once you're going for it!! i do not imagine actually everybody ought to prefer to collide into someone, in the journey that they both went for the ball. do not be a ball hogger. I have this female in my type and through gym type, she is going in each and every single position, and not in any respect supplies each person else on the crew a danger to get the ball, by the indisputable fact that female basically gained't basically stay at her spot. continuously have a good mindset, and good sportsmanship, cheer the others on!! i desire this helps, and good success on your attempt-outs! i desire you're making it :]
