I am a very good swimmer. I was actually on a team for many years, but for some reason I have a fear of deep water (like the middle of the ocean or a lake). I don't think it's so much as a fear of the water but a fear of the unknown (aka whats in the water with me?). How do I control fear or better yet, get rid of it all together?

I think this would be a good place to find stuff to resell. Has anyone had any success with dumpster diving? Was it scary at first?

In one of my magazines, it showed pictures of people that were famous and did bad stuff and how they used to be goood role models. Michael Phelps was one. Did he do something illegal?

I'm looking to buy a new swimsuit from speedo. In your opinion, which one fits well, is comfortable, and lasts long? I need a good one for a competitive swimmer who will be swimming for 5 days a week in the summer.

Will choose best answer!

I've been swimming at least once a day for the last 4 weeks at my local swimming pool. Every lunch time, tues/wed/thurs nights for an hour and then about 3hrs over the weekend.

I've been eating 'fairly' healthy, 3 pieces of fruit throughout the day with a sandwich at lunch. Cooked meal for dinner, usually with vegetables. But for some reason the last couple of weeks I've been a bit loose..

I've read somewhere that if you spray a fastskin with a water repellent such as Thompsons water seal it will actually have the suit last longer, is this true?

Hi

Iv been swimming for about one and a half months now, twice a week. I can manage 60 lengths in an olympic size pool. Iv noticed that my stamina has improved when playing football but i havent noticeed any significant loss of fat. How often do you need to swim a week to lose fat or to convert it to muscle?
