In one of my magazines, it showed pictures of people that were famous and did bad stuff and how they used to be goood role models. Michael Phelps was one. Did he do something illegal?

Michael Phelps got a DUI on November 4th, 2004. He was 19 when he was arrested. His blood alcohol content was .08. Then on December 29th, 2004, he was sentenced to 18 months of probation after pleading guilty. He was also fined $250 and required to attend a Mothers Against Drunk Driving meeting, and to give speeches to students at three area high schools by June 1, 2005.

No he did not. If he had, it would have been all over the news..not just in the Sport pages either... and you would have heard it for sure.
You should know by now any sort of "golden boy" gone bad would be spread from cover to cover across the globe dear.
And to the "person" above me...once your an olympic star your ALWAYS of celebrity status!

Yes he was caught drinking and driving shortly after the olympics that he got all of the gold medals. Plus he wasnt even old enough to drink.

a long time ago right after the Olympics maybe a month or so after. he was caught driving under the influence of alcohol. you dont need to worry about it though it was so little amount that he wasnt charged.

Well the problem is that Michael Phelps is not even a celebrity, so I don't think that people cares that much…

i do no longer sense undesirable for him. i think of human beings make alternatives and can desire to handle the outcomes. He broke a regulation and has lots driving on it such as his endorsements that are in line with him being a function kind and hero to help sell their products.

he got a DWI, but that was a few months ago. Maybe even a year.
