I need to buy a swim suit...

I'm 5'7 , 12 years old, (yep, I'm tall) and will be swimming everyday. I need a one piece for swim teamers, but one that's under $40. Any suggestions? Will choose best answer! Please help!

Any suggestions for goggles, too?

I swam for 12 years on the team. one thing you will learn is you can never have too many suits, goggles or caps. When you buy a suit, buy one about 2-3 sizes too small. It will be tough at first but they stretch so bad, then it will become drag, and cost you time in the race. I Love the mirrored goggles. Womens Vista. Thats all i wore. Have two suits, one for practice and one for racing. only wear them then. also, have at least 2 pairs of goggles. They tend to snap over time. along with the caps, that like to rip. You can get a suit anywhere avoid skinny straps. i like the racerback. just make sure its tight.

sure dear this site has some great suits on it...grab bag all the way! you can't go wrong for the price!

there is also goggles on there both TYR and Swedish whichever you prefer...i would buy 2 pair of course cause you know 1 is just never enough...hell if you get the inexpensive swedish ones you may as well get 3! ; )

As far as size and measurments go....i'm not 12 anymore...i know they have a size chart on this site and your mom can probably help you with it....

Good luck!!

Grab Bag it at Kiefer! Pick a workout suit that you like and make sure you order a size smaller to allow for aerodynamics and stretch. TYR and Speedo hold up the best. Nike are cut small and tend to stretch a LOT in a short period of time.

Places to look:
www.kiefer.com
Ross, TJMaxx
Clearance at any sporting good store

Goggles are a personal prefernece. Go to a sporting good store and try them out then buy them online for cheaper.

Good luck!

not sure about the suit, i bought guys suits. i think i remember lots of speedo and tyr brands. but to answer your other question, if you're into swimming competitively and planning on doing it for a while, swedish brand goggles are the best by far. they cost under $5, are easy to repair, and are in just about any swim store. the brand name might vary, but if you ask the store clerk, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

Any brand will be fine, just remember to buy a suit with a criss cross back and not a scoop, otherwise your strips will fall down. Also remember that because your are swimming everyday, the suit you where will stretch.

endurance, enduarance, endurance
for training i can recommend speedo endurance bathers enough. they last forever and are really comfotable. I'm pretty sure u'll get them for less than $40 US but if not its better to get somethin good than something cheap cos they'll last longer.

in terms of goggles, for training just get somthing comfortable that wont come off or rnt to complicated. i personally love swedish goggles nd find them really comfortable and good because they are all clear but a lot of people dont like them

good luck

oh sh1t i asumed u were a guy for som reason, i dont have a clue bout chik bathers, i think u can get them in endurance fabric

dolfin uglies have always worked for me. they have some crazy designs but they last a long time. They normally only cost 29.50 depending on where you get them.
