I have a pretty good idea going with a 300 Win Mag or 7mm but would like other perspectives and the best value when looking at manufacturer and price.

I have already posted a question about this knife but I had the name of the maker backwards, this is a very large hunting knife 14 1/2 inches long, genuine stag handle, blade is very shinny stainless steel , estremely heavy and looks handmade. On one side of the knife the engraving says Lefevre , 58 rue de rome (the address somewhere, someone said was in Paris) and the other side say Ervefel (lefevre backwards) , Inox ( stainless ). It looks to be a very expensive handmade knife and came with a beautifull hand stitched leather sheath. I have tried for days to find some things out, One person said that Lefevre was formerly a knife maker in Europe but was no longer in business. I think its pretty old judging by the original sheath made to fit it but not sure. Can anyone shed any light on this knife. If you need a picture of it I can email you one if you email me at caryzipp@earthlink.net , I bought it off ebay and the man I bought it from got it at a estate sale in bottom of a box

I am doing a school project where a partner and myself have to pick an "adventure" or exciting vacation, and do research about all the costs involved for all the equipment, transportation, lodging, etc. We chose to hunt bigfoot (doesn't have to be a realistic adventure!) and we need a pretty heavy duty tranquilizer gun because we don't want to kill a sasquatch, just catch it. I've been looking on the internet and I can't find a thing about it. Anything about transportation vehicles used in zoo transfers of gorillas and other big animals would be greatly appreciated as well.

I know a similar question has been asked, but I would like to put some parameters around my question. I'm looking for a good handgun for home defense between .32 and .40 caliber, medium to large frame, and in the $400 to $600 range. My wife is a little jittery about guns and I'd like something she'd be more comfortable with. Any suggestions?

I don't get what the big thrill of dressing up in camo, putting on bottled deer urine, climbing into a tree stand and shooting the deer with a high-powered rifle with a scope is all about. It's not real hunting....any real man would hunt a deer with his bare hands and if he could kill it....then he'd be a real hunter. Rifles are for *******.
