I got a 6 point buck that had a nice ear to ear spread on him (not bad for only a 6).
I hunted the opening weekend of the gun deer season in Wisconsin (11/18 - 11/19). I saw 10 deer opening day (6 does, 4 bucks) and got one. I saw a glimpse of a deer on the 2nd day and that was it.
The deer didn't seem to be moving all that well this year. I'm heading out for the Illinois 2nd gun season on Thursday. Hopefully they will be moving by then.

I have done pretty good this year in NE.....Filled all three of my rifle deer tags, pheasant hunting started out slow due to the large amount of corn still standing when the season opened....but with harvest getting over the hunting has gotten pretty good....I have gotten quite a few ducks and geese also.....I have taken some tree rats and other small game. My freezer is full and I am enjoying every minute I can spend in the field...

I went hunting in WV. I saw 4 deer, 2 bucks, 2 does and 1 fat turkey, they were runnning so I didnt get a shot off. Even though I didnt get any kills I had a great time hunting with my son, and brother-in law.

I got my first deer Saturday and last week was my first time ever hunting. It was a small doe but it is still a deer. She came out of a woods at about 85 yards and I was straddling a fence. My first shot was in front of her and she jumped the fence, the 2nd shot was in front of her and she jumped the fence again, I hit her in the side on the 3rd shot and she jumped the fence again. My gun jammed. I shot again and missed and she jumped the fence again. She saw another hunter and jumped the fence again. My gun jammed! She passed me at about 10 feet I turned and shot her in the butt it came out her right side and the shot put her down. She crawled with her front lags trying to get to a patch of high grass in the field, only to find that it had been mowed the day before and gave up. By this time I had caught up to her and put a round in the back of her head. Now I have to go after the big buck that is out there that is leaving the 7 inch L x 3.5 inch W tracks and is rubbing trees 8 inches in Dia. I live in north central IN.

I got my turkey, kinda. I was also trying to get a buck this year, but the last two days I decided I'd go for a doe. Never saw another deer, lol. Turkey was easier. We sat out in the blind for about three days. One day they didn't show up until we had left the blinds to eat breakfast. But we ended up all shooting at once, and one turkey died. Who knows who got it, lol.

have not hunted in Okefenokee, yet stay in North Georgia Mountains the position Black undergo is rather consumer-pleasant. Black undergo at the instantaneous are not as aggressive as their cousins the Grizzly or Polar. Like deer, at the same time as a Black undergo sees, smells, or hears you this is going to maximum probable move any incorrect way. in spite of the indisputable fact that, any mom undergo will shelter her cubs so that you want to be careful and shop your distance from a sow with cubs. also, maximum animals will shelter themselves besides plausible at the same time as cornered or injured. Bears in simple terms have extra skill to attempt this so do not frame of mind until eventually you're particular the animal is lifeless. The 30-06 or .270 ought to do the job. i for my section use the 7mm mag. the absolutely undergo connect I have heard of got here about in the previous 2 years to a touch lady in Tennessee. regrettably, she lost her existence. i do not comprehend the circumstances. regrettably, we've those that feed the bears in our section. it truly is in simple terms inquiring for difficulty. even although that undergo attacks are very uncommon, it may take position so continually be on your feet and do not take unnecessary adjustments.

I took my 3 yr old son out on a Thanksgiving evening Deer hunt with me. We sat on a field edge and glassed. I ended up shooting a good doe about 150 out. My little boy ate it up. He still hasn't stopped talking about it.
