Each time I hear or read someone say pro sports should be banned or go away or outlawed because athletes are overpaid, I wonder what people think about. Sports, whether they are pro or amateur are major industries in our world and contribute mightily to economies worldwide. To ban sports would be banning millions of jobs everywhere. Just for the fun of it, make a list of how many people would lose their jobs if just one sport were done away with, let alone all sports. What needs to be done is to create salary caps in all pro sports. The sports situation needs to redesigned, not eliminated. Here's my partial list, feel free to add to it: The players/athletes themselves, coaches, trainers, equipment managers, front office personnel, ticket sellers, ticket takers, all vendors, food suppliers, food deliverers, ticket printers, custodians, sport equipment makers and suppliers, uniform makers, ground crews, scoreboard operators, and so on ad infinitum. I'm out of characters to work with GO4IT

I'm trying to plan a trip for myself and all my friends next year, but we can't decide between NBA Allstar Weekend (Vegas) or Superbowl Weekend (Miami); which one would you choose, and if you've been to either please share your experience !

Is it because you live nearby?
Family tradition?
Is it only because they often win? (you are so shallow)
Or because it was part of your pre-nuptial agreement? (believe me, that is the only reason I support Wolverhampton Wanderers!)

So, I have a choice between getting a job (I am in high school), or playing soccer. We were conference champs last year, but we have lost many of our players. My parents want me to get a job, they say it will make me more responsible. I agree. However, I LOVE soccer and I was really looking forward to playing this year. What should I do? I have a friend working at Sonic and she says I will definetly get a job.

It's not fair. A athletes earns a whole lot more, compared to surgeons and lawyers. Why is this all they're doing is playing a sport. It's not fair for hardworking bright students who obtains a doctorate and master degrees to earn less than a athlete. Tiger wood made over 10 million this year alone, compared to a doctor with a doctorate degree who makes 4.5 million in a lifetime. You tell me why this is.
