If the world's toughest fighter -- who is mixed martial arts champion, black belt champion, UFC champion, etc etc is to fight with an ordinary full grown wild tiger, who will win? The tiger should lose because it is facing an extremely skilled human fighter, right?

Coz I have this fight with this dude a few months ago and its all because of a stupid mistake so my plan was to dismiss it and just forget about it but he attacked me until somebody broke it up as a student of Kung Fu I am not obliged to fight until I am TRULY hurt but since I am not, I did not fought back. So last month I saw this guy again he started trash talking again and so I ignored it, again, he started attacking me, I didnt fight him(again I am not hurt even a little bit since I could dodge rather well) but I took action in it by telling the Authorities and me, him, mine and his parents talked through it and he apologized but yesterday he is provoking another fight by looking at me with a threatening eye, I could somehow sense that something is seriously wrong and that he wants more trouble should I fight him now, that he is provoking a fight, should I fight him???

I feel we have not reached that level of thought yet that Bruce Lee first discovered 40 years ago. MMA, though it gets the "blending" portion of Jeet Kune Do correct, still is far behind in the evolution of martial arts.

For example, although styles are being mixed, they are not being mixed in the manner that a Jeet Kune Do practitioner would be mixing them. Rather then mixing this high kick which works for me, with this take down that works for me. We're still going to BJJ/Muay Thai route. Even worse, we still have some backseat martial artists here who watch a few UFC matches and their eyes light up thinking they've seen the revelation. The revelation that every art except BJJ/MT is useless.

Jeet Kune Do teaches to let go of names of styles, as that is all they are and despite the name, its not going to make the moves any better. People don't get Muay Thai'd on the street, they get beat up or beat someone else up.

What are your thoughts of MMA's current state of thought vs JKDs?

Hi I've got a martial art tournament next month which I'm looking forward - I'll be taking part in formations, throwing techniques/locks and staf spinning. The only problem is I really want to do the sparring as well and due to the fact I'm 16 now I could easily be up against 30 year old men! I'm not very strong and really don't fancy coming back with black eyes (sure there's gloves and head padding but that could easily happen still).

Has anybody got any tips/ training ideas that could be useful in 2 months time??? thanks for the help. Bumble

I've just recently started Aikido and I'm having trouble with the break falls. The forward and backwards one where you roll over your shoulder, I'm getting the hang of.

But the other two where you have to roll back, slam you hands down and get back up again and also where you move to the side and drop. I'm having trouble getting back again the way we're supposed to, can anybody offer some useful tips?
did you ever have problems with this when you were taking aikido?
help appreciated.

I have been thinking about taking Jujitsu lessons along with my boxing lessons, will these two go together? I like the idea of Jujitsu but is seems hard to put someone in an arm lock or some sort of lock the they are throwing rapid punches at you, is it applicable in real life situations and how long does it take tomaster this art or get to a level where you can defend your self against bigger stronger attackers.

1.How do I practice sparring techniques alone? Such as side step kote... timing Dos... and etc? (also where do I find new techniques to learn?)

2. I have a bad habit of not extending my arms... how can I fix this?

It has to be between these 3 martial arts. Ive been looking to do a specific martial art for about 3 years and I really fancy something to do with hand to hand combat as well as disarming. A bit like Krav Maga and I would take it but as a civilian like myself I would only be taught so much because it is deadly. Its kind of a self defence system im looking for. And something that I can progress in and over time be taught things like pressure point moves and less than lethal moves. Does anyone know of a school in the phillipines I could attend? If so would a school or camp like this be expensive? What would you say? And which of these 3 martial arts are to do with which. Like is kali more to do with knife fighting, escrima with sticks and Arnis with hand to hand combat/disarming/self defence or something like that? I am looking to do something with a Jason Bourne kind of approach. Can anybody help me with this?
thanks

Will judo be a workout for my skinny legs?, I don't do much leg exercises at the gym since I would need to work out to much to get them looking good.
Only when I was in soccer was I able to keep them in shape.

Is judo a good workout for the legs, because I had just joined, not for that purpose.

I'm curious about Aikido- I understand that is completely void of striking. However- with Aikido principles- have you used them in a streetfight?? (The redirection and submission) Did you find it effective in a real life situation? Just wondering... And before anyone posts something about Aikido sucking, etc (seen it before) please move along.

I am interested in the redirectional applications to accent what I already know. Please let me know if Aikido's method has been found effective for you. Thanks!!

I was at a party on Saturday night and this guy was going to let this girl side-kick him in the face and put it on Youtube. The girl goes to our school and she's a second degree black belt and she's pretty tall and wiry looking. Me and some other guys were talking him out of it but luckily she decided not to. I think he would have been hurt really bad but he seems to think that he could take it. Who is right?

okay so im supposed to think of a new game for th elil kids class at the dojo to play at the end of clas, aside from the ussual dodge ball, races and all that i had an idea for a new one

say we have 20 kids, ten on ten on each wall. each kids hs a certain person from the other team that they have to pin down before the time runs out.

wehn i say GO! they all run to the middle and try to pin eachother down. there will be three one minuete rounds. the winner goes back to the wall and does not move, the loser is out.

the team with the most peopel still at the wall wins!

do you like the ideA?
