99999 out of 100000 time the human would be eaten, that is if the human wasn't smart enough to bring a gun, then maybe, it would depend on the situation, other weapons: bow, maybe, sling, big maybe, others humans chances aren't much better than unarmed. martial arts were designed for combat against other humans who are in the same ranges as each other (not to mention exploit weaknesses in HUMAN bodies not tiger bodies). a tiger is several TIMES stronger, several TIMES faster, than the fastest or strongest human, no amount of technique will make up for that. not to mention that the tiger has teeth and claws, which it uses to kill, not to hurt, or to theoretically say I could do this and kill you but never actually do it(which is even more worthless) but it actually kills frequently. tell you what you try it and tell me what happens.

For the bragging thing, its much more of an achievement to obtain the next belt level then it is to win a competition. A competition is one day and anything could happen. They could be sick, have an off day, have a great day, or have a lot of luck. A belt is something they work towards for months, even years. A metal shows the accomplishments of a day, a belt shows the accomplishments of months, blood, sweat, tears, and perseverance. If a kid is 11 or 12 years old they could have started when they were 5 or 6, that means they would have been doing martial arts for 6, 7 years. That's a long time, also were not talking about little kids, these are preteens, Jr. high. I know a lot of kids that age that are amazing and are better then some older teens. You make it seem like a crime. But at my dojo, they have black belt, costume black belt then adult black belt (that's for people who started as kids) because you are (in some sense) right. There is a huge difference between adult and kid black belts.

The tiger would launch his 500+ lbs on to the martial artist from behind, bite the throat, and that would be that.
An extremely skilled human fighter means nothing. Every tiger (as well as every other predator) is an expert at killing quickly with minimal risk to itself. They have to be or they would starve.

Put Anderson Silva, Chris Weidman, GSP, Jon Jones all at once vs the tiger. The tiger would be so happy.

There's no way fists and feet can beat razor sharp claws and teeth. Except maybe if it's Mike Tyson, who'll bite it's ear off and perform s0domy on the poor ol Tiger : P
