I have been waitng for my mare to foal and stumbled upon this site. It is like internet crack, you can't leave it alone even though you know it's so bad. She's almost a week past due now and I hope she pops soon. I have 10 more to go and I have already run out of things to do at night, it is nice to get a break from hitting the bars though, my liver is in heaven.

my friends [who play soccer] say that all you do is sit on a horse and it does whatever you want to do for you. i compete in shows [english] and ive tried to tell them that it isn't like that at all and that it really uses muscle and everything but they have ridden [like once] and said its doesn't. does anyone have any info or anything that i can use? im really sick of them telling me that.

thanks in advance

Who here misses Barbaro? Well i miss him soo much that I almost start crying when ever I just see a picture of him winning the Derby or at the Preakness.
But me myself think Barbaro is the real winner. Because from my eye's he's more then just the Derby winner or even if he won the triple crown... he's more than that because Barbaro has won so much more then that and has wont he greastest challange of all. He's tought me so much and how much he fought and how everyone loved him as much as me. I don't care if i sound like I'm three because I don't because I KNOW that there is millions of others out there right now that agree with me. And if you do then please respond to me with an answer.

Now I hope I made you think or even cry, because Barbaro deserves it. I'll miss you soo much big guy, LOVE YOU!!!!! <3

I have always wanted a horse, but don't think I could qualify for a wild horse and don't have a lot of money to spend on buying one, but does anyone have any suggestions to get one for free or low cost where and how would a person look and then what about transportation for it?

I really want to become a horse jockey when I get older, but I hear that it's an extremly dangerous sport. I've done some research on it, but does anyone here have any personal experience on being one?

I am starting to work out a horse racing system. However, to develop the system I need as much historic race data as I can find. I need the same sort of data that is available to punters prior to a race with the final result.

Ideally it would be in a .TXT format which is easy to input into my computer program. I am sure it must be on the web somewhere.

Also, how far can you ride, walk, run a horse in a day? All this assumes generally flat land with small hills once in awhile.

Hello everyone I want to get ready to be a jockey or at least an excersize rider at the racetrack.
I am 12yrs old and I have a horse that is a Q horse and SHE is 18. I want to get a young 4 or 5 year old horse that is tall and fast. I want a young horse because I want to start training to be a jockey/excersize rider like I said. So I thought that if I got a young fast horse it would help me practice because I'll stand low in the saddle and make the horse go fast and practice like that instead of like going on a real thorobred and getting my-self hurt.
But I don't know if it would work okay because horses are my life and I want to be a jockey really bad! ( you don't know how bad) PLUS! The other thing is, is that we board my horse so i don't get to spend a lot of time with it. But we should be moving in around 1yr.
Please give me suggestions!!!! I want to be one so bad! The other bad thing is, is that i'm tall for my age because I'm 5'2" and 100lbs! PLEASE HELP!! Thank you so much.
