I am considering Street Sense at 12-1. I am getting a bit curious as to his schedule for this year. Mr Nafzger has commented that he will prep in the Bluegrass Stakes but failed to mention when and where he will race next. It's time for him run in a race and see where he stands. I think he is a solid candidate to break the "juvenille jinx" if he returns to the races in top condition.

If you can play Notional at better than 10-1 this may be a solid choice. He will race in the Risen Star this weekend and an impressive performance will lower his odds considerably.

Don't waste your money on Hard Spun no matter how well he runs up to the big race. Runners who expend their energy in this manner do not fare well in the KY Derby. He will surely be out of gas when the real running begins at the 1/4 pole.

Good luck with your selections! Bet a little to win alot is a good axiom for playing in the Derby future pools.

Hard Spun and Great Hunter

Maybe Nobiz, Street Sense and Circular Quay if they are above 10-1, but even at that I would rather wait until Derby Day, it's tough to take 10-1 on a horse to win the Derby 3 months out unless you have a time machine and know something nobody else does.

As of Saturday: I played Forefathers, Great Hunter and Stormello, I might see how high Circular Quay's odds drift up and play him at 15-1 or higher.

not this weekend. But when Michigan lost to Oregon I had to wear my roommate's Oregon Jersey out to the bars w/ an Under Armor skull cap, and if anyone asked why I was wearing an Oregon jersey I had to say "I must protect this house". Stupid Ducks. P.S. Are the REDs in the playoffs? I think not. And I'm really going to be pissed if the Bears draft Chad Henne next year...super pissed.
