Plenty of saddle soap, then a little oil, not too much. Yes, take it apart, remember how it goes back together. I had a little grey pony once and she was called Tonic. I hope you have a happy time with her.

yes you take your bridle apart to clean it, this should be done once a week but give it a quick wipe every day, especially the bit. don't get the leather to wet or it will get sticky. use special leather soap or cream and follow the instructions on the label. Saddle soap is not like normal soap as you do not want to lather it up or remove it, you just rub it into the leather a bit like moisturiser.
I had a little grey mare a few years ago (grey means white in horse terms because all white horses have black skin). She was called Mistique, Missy for short. Maybe that would be a good name for your pony

Here is what you do:
1: put a small about of water on a sponge and squeeze it out
2: rub it on the saddle soap
3: Everytime you ride wipe down the entire surface of the bridle and saddle. When the sponge gets dirty repeat 1 & 2.
4: Wipe the bit off with a clean cloth
5: Let air Dry
I do a full clean once a week where I take off the bit and soak it and take apart the bridle. You will be able to put the bridle back together once you know how it works well. Just be sure to remember or mark where the bridle latches go so when you put it back together it fits.
As for a name, go to babynames.com, they have some great ones. If you are looking for a show name Second Glance, Look Again, Devious, Scooby Doo, Touche, etc are examples I have had at horse shows, if you are choosing a name in a foreign language just remember, announcers are HORRIBLE at pronouncing names.

Yes, take apart the bridle and make sure that you clean the bit in hot water DON'T PUT ANY SOAP ON IT!!!!! For the saddle if it is western you need to take off the the cinch and breastplate and clean them separately, if it is English you need to take off the girth, the stirrup irons, and the stirrups and make sure that you check all of the buckles and any sort of cracked leather should be replaced immediately.
You could name the mare...
1. Peda
2. Skip
3. Pocket Change
4. Gina
5. Fancy
6. Blue
7. Peanut Butter
8. Gypsy
9. Comet
10. Mel

22. Cleo
23. Misty
24. Apache

These are just some that I thought of... GOOD LUCK!!!!
EDIT: I answered like 2 of your questions earlier, if you don't know anything about horses why are you getting one???

You need to take the bridle apart, but just take the stirrup leathers off the saddle. When taking apart the bridle, make a list of how many holes up each buckle is so you can put it back how it was. Same with the stirrup leathers.

Get some saddle soap, some warm water, and a soft cloth. Use the saddle soap to scrub the saddle with the cloth. You don't need to take it apart. You can do the same with the bridle. To wash stirrups and bits and other metal parts then wash them with water and dry them well.

Just a little pointer: white horses are considered differetn shades of gray. A gray foal ussually starts out as a darker gray and becomes lighter w/ age. A dapple gray often loses his/her dapples a they get older.
the only other "white" horses are albinos who have pink skin
good luck!

Yes you do take it apart, as long as you know how it goes back together. Take the bridle apart and clean the bit. Take the stirrop leathers off the saddle and take the stirrop irons off of the leathers. Take the girth off too and clean all leatherusing saddle soap (with a damp cloth).

I thought your question must be a wind-up. It is totally irresponsible to attempt to take care of a pony if you don't know the first thing about it. Judging by your spelling, you must be quite young, in which case go to a good Riding School and ask them for some advice. If you are an adult, then, judging by your spelling, you don't seem bright enough to know one end of the pony from the other. I really do hope this was a wind-up, because if it wasn't, then I feel sorry for the pony.

For "deep cleaning" you do take it apart and use a leather cleaner recommended by your saddle shop.
After every ride, wipe the bit with a wet cloth. you'll also need to wash the saddle pads every once in a while.
For a name:
Brightness (Brighty)
Epona is the horse goddess of Ireland
Ariel
