I'm 15 years old and would liek to find a sponsor to help me with showing horses in the 4H and rodeo. I'm not sure what to do. How do I advertize them? Can I have more than one?

Put together a set of pictures or references from parents and teachers who support you. Be sure to spell out the costs involved and how much y ou are seeking from your sponsor.

Put these into a folder and them them to businesses in your area and ask to speak to the owner/manager. Ask them if they would be interested in sponsoring you in your Rodeo/4H project. If they hesitate before answering, show them your letters and pictures. If the response is quick, thank them and move on.

Go to Dentists, Car Dealers, Retail Stores - anything. Remember to point out that their name will be on your shirt, or on the sign by your animal at the 4H fair (State Fair too?) so the money they spend can be written off as advertising. (Remember too that you don't need to get the entire amount from one person/business. You can just as easily make do with several business sponsors.)
