Do you think Nobiz Like Shobiz will make it to the Derby? I do... and that's who I'm looking forward to, to win. Do you think the same? Why or why not? If you think different then who are you looking forward to make it and win?

I have a Thoroughbred named Desire after a horse of mine that had passed away recently.Anyway I am thinking about racing her as she is pedigree approved and born of two great horses.Do you think horse racing is a dangerous sport because I love Desire and I don't want her to get hurt like Barbaro did.

some peopel say that western pleasure judges can be paid off and you only have to have a good horse to win with, while barrel racing is totally fair because your only judge is the timer, which never lies?

Unbeaten Lady Retired

12th Feb: Colm Murphy’s unbeaten hurdler Feathard Lady has been retired due to injury.

The mare created a huge impression in seven races highlighted by victory in the Grade One Christmas Hurdle at Sandown in 2005 — which proved her swansong.

Having missed last year’s Cheltenham Festival with a strained fetlock joint injury, it had been hoped she would make a full recovery.

However, connections have decided to call time on her promising career

My family is interested in starting a horse business.

1. Is 40 acres big enough for a good riding stable? ( http://www.realtor.com/FindHome/HomeListing.asp?snum=22&frm=bymap&nearbyZp=&lid=Enter+MLS+ID&pgnum=3&ss_aywr=&st=CO&mls=xmls&mnbed=0&js=off&mnsqft=0&fid=so&vtsort=&poe=realtor&mnprice=0&ct=parker&zp=&primaryZp=&mxprice=99999999&typ=6&typ=5&exft=0&exft=0&exft=0&exft=e5acres&mnbath=0&areaid=91321&sid=080AE86E9C2FC&snumxlid=1051932609&lnksrc=00002 )
2. On average, how long would it take to build a barn (s), indoor/out door riding arena, ect?
3. For those of you who own a horse business, how much money does it cost when you first start (buildings, horses, land, tack, employees, ect.)? How much does it cost to keep it monthly? Yearly?

We plan on having:
Horses for lease/sale
lessons
training
boarding
trail riding (if our land allows)
and summer day camp

We may race horses, too.

I started dressage with a Wintec, because my giant TB is so hard to fit, because he is not the typical narrow TB. Now I have shown and have a lot more experience, so I need a more serious dressage saddle. I think I will stick with the "easy change gullet system" because I can't fit my TB in anything! I want to stay under $2K for the next saddle, and I am finding Bates Isabell and Bates Innova, as well as Bates Caprilli online in my price range. Wanted to know who has them, who likes them/dislikes them, who has heard good/bad things about them. I would love to ride in a Passier or something nice, but I can't fit my gelding in these saddles. Any opinions, etc, are welcome, thanks!

Well, I'm a fanna horse riding and wanna be a jockey. I live in Mauritus, that's why I'm lookimg for a riding school in SA open for girls.
I like Saleem Golam a lot coz he's a good jockey and British; he's been in Mauritius last year. I would like to know if he has a girlfriend out of curiosity, well, I think it's normal when you're a fanna someone, you'll always wanna know most things on him.
I would be pleased if you could help me,
Thanking you in advance,
Naughty Devil

But the only problem is that he is popular and im not as much. I dont know if he would be too afraid to ask me in fear of what his friends would think. Should i forget about him if he dosent ask me to the Valentines day dinner??

This has always bugged me, I don't know why...but can a female horse race if she's "in season" or "in heat"? I've never been able to find anything guideline wise on the horse racing sites, but I would think it would be a big distraction to the colts in the race and might cause an accident on the track. Any ideas?
