it depends on where you are. in the US in some areas it about all of one or the other while other places are about equal. worldwide english far outnumbers western since bye and large western is only found here. other countries have developed different saddles for ranch work.

for sure the east coast has the most english riders in the united states. i know from living there that the west coast, event though people would think differently, has more english riding than western... there is western though. and from living in the south, it is split pretty much 50/50 or maybe a little bit more western riding but pretty much it is even. I ride jumpers & dressage and would prefer that over western any day but thats just me!

Depends on the location where you are.
On the east coast most ride English in the westen states more ride western as you have more working ranches and such there.
I live in Iowa and I ride both english and western.
Depends on what I am going to do that day on the horse.
Training in the arena and for jumping and such english if I am working cows or riding fence western.

i have NO IDEA but i ride BOTH western and hunter pleasure but LOVE hunterpleasure
