They lose. Badly. AND, the refs give them a goal that shouldn't have counted.

With the Sens down only 1 goal, he lets in a shot from the top of the circle, just inside the blue line.

Why couldn't the Sens just have faith in Emery instead of bringing up an inexperienced goaltender who lets in weak goals at key times?

The Rocky Mountain News in Denver is running a poll tomorrow (Tuesday) on whether Patrick Roy's accomplishments in Denver "come close" to that of John Elway. I think it would be great if people could just flood the poll with pro-Roy comments to balance out the inevitable flood of comments lauding Saint John Elway. The poll should be up by tomorrow at 8 a.m. Mountain time. Who knows, it might even be up after midnight Mountain time. Voting closes at about 4 p.m. Mountain time. Any help would be appreciated. The Web site address is rockymountainnews.com

It seems that the refs are calling more penalties than ever this year, whether it be justified or not! Is this part of Betteman's plan to better hockey, by creating more advantages to scores more goals, or are the refs just blind !!!???

Watching the Canes and Sabs and Cole just hit Campbell head hunter style into the boards and then protested the penalty....

Didn't he last year say that Orpik had head hunted him and should be out of the league for good? Grant it Campbell was not hurt on the play but he easily could have been.

Does Cole only feel that breaking someone's neck is the criteria?

Don't get me wrong I like Cole and I was very upset to see him out last year....but gimme a break here Eric.

I’ve always wondered what they do with all the hats thrown on the ice after a hat trick. Do they collect them and you can pick them back up, do they clean them and donate them or just throw them away?

I am getting frustrated with watching hockey. So many close games are ended because player A tapped the player B on the shin and player B goes down like he was shot - resulting in a penalty to player A.

Or were you trying to think up some cheap *** comeback that the officiating is GOOD???!!! What you think about Minnesota getting 0 (ZERO) Powerplays against Pronger and Oscar Mayer?

The NHL has taken great steps back toward viability with all the rule changes last year. I certainly think, in some markets...example, Buffalo...the popularity of the game has increased.

However, there is still the question of certain franchises surviving where they are as the fan's in that city have not embraced the team nor game. Example as how the Thrashers have a great record but can't seem to fill the arena...similar to the Flames in the 70s before they went to Calgary.

So, as step two of the NHL's face lift...let's assume contraction will not be an option. Who is moving, and to where?
