As soon as women's hockey is big enough to support it, absolutely.
As others have said, that's a matter of time. Maybe not soon, but eventually.

The interest of women's hockey is on a rise, for sure. Give it a little time and when those young women, who have started playing hockey because of the success of the women's Canadian hockey team, come to age, then there will be a flood of players wanting to play. There are semi-pro women leagues already, if I am not mistaken and when the time comes, there will be a league equivalent to a women's national hockey league.

The WNHL? I don't think that would garner much interest. Isn't women's hockey going to be dropped from the Winter Olympics after 2010? Or was that just a rumor?

There is one it is called the NWHL. Its not big mainly Canadian teams and Teams from Minnesota, because NHL hockey is not even that big the states, expansion of the league is slow going.

canadas womans team is better than the mens, we owned at the 2006 winter olympics and they should keep it, the only reason why they probably are going to get rid of it is because canada is the best at it!!

dont they already???? I mean the NHL blows!!!!!! Bettyman has taken fighting all but out of the game, there are hardly any good body checks anymore...all the NHL teams are full of p*ssy Euro's.... so really isnt this already your sisters NHL????? next thing you will know there wont be any body contact anymore, no slap shots (might hurt the goalie)....all players will need to wear pink gloves... and all players will be required to wear full cages.... you want a great hockey website....check out hockey fights . com....best hockey website out there....bar none!!!!!!

absolutely not...it will sicken me, would be a disgrace to the NHL reputation and image. Women are not even close to being good enough and the ones who are are very limited, there wouldn't even have enough intersest, the real NHL struggles enough, image chicks out there. NO WAY!!! Well if they played topless with all hot women I'd be ok with it, besides that no way.

No not really. I would want to see women play hockey about as much as I would want to see them playing football. I don't.

I think they should. Just to change things up. They show women playing basketball and softball on tv, i dont see why they cant get a league for them to play hockey.
