First, he and the NHL put a stipulation on Jim Balsillie's deal to buy the Pittsbrugh Penguins franchise of not being able to move the team without the permission of the NHL and himself (buyer was going to put up the money to build a new arena worth over 200 million) to the location of Kitchner-Waterloo. Because of this Balsillie backed out of the deal.

Second, after the Casino deal goes up in smoke because of idoitic religious folks that believe the money earned from the casino is dirty and sinful, and the politicians go along with this in hopes not to be voted out when election time comes again, he goes to say that he will support the franchise if (and when) it will move.

WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP!!

Who agrees with me that Gary Bettman, no matter how well he did when he was a senior executive of the NBA, and has done great things for the game, (i.e./ expand franchises, raise profits, etc...) a lawyer from New York SHOULD not be running the greatest game in the world!!

Anyone see the game the other night between Montreal and the Sabre's? It does not seem to be one particular player, but a real team effort to their mindset. And one aspect I have seen this season from the Hab's, is even when they are losing, they still play as if it's their last hockey on earth;relentless...

Yes, it has been some time since they have been a "great" team. Is it #25 they would be going for, as in Stanely Cups? Not a bad average considering that's about 1 of every 4 SC's awarded.

I had played hockey quite a bit in school & had made it to nationals. At national trails i had gotten injured & pulled muscle in left thigh. But had continued to play & refused to tell anyone. I had gotten into nationals (the coach picked it up though & spoke to me after the match).During Nationals at the first friendly match I had to see the coach,doctor & physio before the game all was medically fine just had to wear a transact patch while playing for protection on the thigh.

All the games went well & had gotten up to the finals where the game became tense. I had tackled apponent with wrong side of stick because this was war because of the final match. There was tons of tension packed stadium. During a corner the girl had aimed for my left knee & 1 came from left with a stick into my knee & another with a stick on the right. They were both carded & i got sent off field for obvious reasons,had a cracked knee which i refused to be X rayed.Could it still be there?get pain sometimes
