I'm a huge leafs fan but man o' man. Hal Gil is BRUTAL and has to go. I'm starting to wish Aki Berg would come back. Anyone agree with me. Send John Ferguson with him too.

Gill is terrible. The only really good year he had in the NHL was when he was paired with Ray Bourque in Boston.
People love his size, but he doesn't have the mobility of a Zdeno Chara, and that makes all the difference in the new NHL.

Hal Gill isn't supposed to be winning games for the Leafs, but yes, he has shat the bed lately, especially against florida.
And as for JFJ, he has produced a team within one season that actually has playoff potential, from a pre-lockout team that was not at all comprised of the type of players needed for the faster game.
I love the leafs, but i hate ignorant fans that think there is always some magic formula to win every game. The Leafs are never allowed to enter a rebuilding phase either, so whoever the GM is has to do his job without top prospects or any downtime what-so-ever
Leafs will win 2 games straight and you look, all of a sudden everyone is happy and JFJ is considered a genius

Hal Gill definitly has to go, along with McCabe (probably the worst signing the leafs have done in recent years).

and thats why the leafs are the leafs. use all of their money on Kubina and get Hal Gill. Like thats gonna solve anything.

haha, I warned leafs fans about Hal Gill when he left Boston, I often say that he is the worst defenceman in the NHL, it's funny that your feeling the pain that I felt for years with him on the Bruins d-line

Poor Leaf fans, stuck with JFJ... At least they have Maurice to bring things up a bit.
Wouldn't have been suprised to see JFJ/Quinn (if he was still there) trade Steen, Stajan and a first rounder for Foppa this year...
