The Flyers did not adapt to the new NHL, and it caught up to them. The Flyers have no good defensemen not named Joni Pitkanen, very few skill forwards(and Forsberg is injured), and Esche has had trouble without good defensemen in front of him. The Flyers need a philosophy change and a team rebuild.
The only thing really going for the Flyers at this point is the fact that the 76ers are more pathetic.

The Flyers did not adapt to the new NHL. Lack team speed. Peter Forsberg has been injured too much. The Flyers have to change their ways.

to slow. the new rules to make the game faster started last year and it showed that the Flyers needed to do something in the off season after getting killed by the Sabres, but the Flyers did nothing and just kept there slower players and signed a few more. they need to build a team and stop getting veterans past there primes, and to let there system grow with the new NHL.

sure this is against the regulation. maximum communities have an anti-muddle regulation that prohibits this custom. Flyers would be surpassed out directly to a guy or woman or placed on show. this supplies people the possibility to settle for or decline.

They are still playing the 'Broad Street Bullie's brand of hockey. That no longer works. Their defence is too slow. They don't have a #1 goalie. Peter Forsberg is always injured. I could go on and on...

They are one of the biggest hard hitting teams that have no skill accept for Peter Forseberg. They are designed like the old New Jersey Jacque Lemeres team of the 90's. Its a trap defense with scruffy wingers. NO SKILL PLAYERS

Peter Forsberg is (playing) injuried and he is a big piece of their team, Robert Esche is doing decent at best, no one is really stepping up and right now they really need to find themselves
