De rossi was suspended by the FIFA federation for an high elbow which was Supposedly intentional, while Zidane was awarded Player of the tournament even if he delivered an intentional header to Marco Materazzi. Why was this incident ignored, and why was Zidane still awarded Man of the tournament?

In my point of view Zidane should have been the last man to receive the awared.

The world cup us now over.... People should really just stop... going on about Italy, Zidane and the headbutting. There are more inportant things in life. So please people, what's done is do. Italy won, France lost, Zidane did something shocking and it's all over. So please.... take a chill pill about the whole thing.... Stop calling Italy cheats, what's the point they won... And it's over. There are more important things in life... Proverty in africa? Global warming? Hungar? War? Nuclear worries?. Who's going to win 2010 world cup? who's going to win 2008 euro? come on these are more important, so stop living in the past and move on... :-)...

I think zizou is under-going a more serious pain than materazzi. materazzi's pain vanished a few seconds after the head-butt but zizou must be hurt even by now. if the lip-readers' conclusion is true then i totally understand why zizou did that. How can anybody say " you are a son of a terrorist whore" and as if thats enough he goes a step further to crown his insult by saying "fu*** off." what do u think?

After all those lip reading evidence from Brazil, Britain, France and etc..., all shown that Materazzi did insult Zidane heavily. Although he denied doing it, but why can't he reveal what has he said to Zidane? Trying to play hide and seek? What would you do if someone would have called you 'son of a terrorist whore'?

LONDON (AFP) - Italy's Marco Materazzi called Zinedine Zidane a "son of a terrorist whore" just before the France captain gave him a brutal head-butt in the World Cup final, Britain's top forensic lip reader says.

The Times newspaper hired Jessica Rees, whose skill has seen her summoned as an expert witness at criminal trials, to study a tape of Sunday's match that saw Zidane get a red card for his seemingly spontaneous assault.

"After an exhaustive study of the match video, and with the help of an Italian translator, Rees claimed that Materazzi called Zidane 'the son of a terrorist whore' before adding 'so just f*** off' for good measure," it said.

Materazzi on Monday denied calling Zidane a terrorist, adding that "I don't even know what the word means".

Anyone have anything to share about this? Can check this out at Yahoo Sports News.
