The Sun newspaper reported Monday that Rooney threatened to "split him in two" when the two next meet. Do you think he will do it?

its embarrassing. We have only ever been in one final and two semi-finals.
How can we justify calling ourselves a world football power when we are not
We have become all too big for our boots, and yet we have got nothing to shout about because we have done nothing. This is what annoys me.
We have no right to be as confident or arrogant about our football as we are. It has been not been anywhere near good enough.

i also think its no coincidence that the one player that scored from
the penalty spot was a player that plays in german league and not in the english league what does that say about our training methods. what do you think

Becks has finally relinquished his captaincy but who will replace him? Im pretty sure McClaren or whoever will not have to automatically pick a deputy like Michael Owen who is off-the-boil anyway but i have my money on John Terry!
What about you?

And for the record why didnt Sven take Bent (premier top scorer 05/06) or Defoe instead of seemingly-permenantly-not yet-match-fit Owen, or Walcott whom he dint paly above 10mins, for extra strike power upfront?

in England is the coach and the manager the same person in football. I see Eric being referred to as both coach and manager.
If it is not the same thing, can someone tell me the names of the officials of the English team...Coach: Manager: assistant etc etc

Is there even the slightest chance that Beckham gave up the armband before McClaren took it and gave it to someone else, or maybe he was asked to give it up, because the F.A or Coaching staff didn't want to cause the new head coach any sort of public dispute.

I think between Beckham and Sven, the men never showed their true grit - and I am glad Beckham and Sven have stepped down.
