I think John Terry would make a good captain. Although I hate Chelsea (As I am a Utd fan) he has done a hell of a lot for Chelsea and would be a good role model as captain just like Beckham.

I know Gerrard is also a good captain for Liverpool but I don't think he is ready for the responsibility where as Terry seems alot older and wiser and would be great as captain.

if i was the new England manager i would be more worried about trying to find a new squad, one that plays for each other with passion and pride when they wear the three lions. Sven's squad was full of 'superstars' who thought only of themselves and became undroppable by Sven. whoever becomes the next England captain, i hope he knows what an Honor it is, and doesn't think hes bigger than England, like beckham does
