In '98 and 2002 he wasn't there for their last game and this year he went out after 2 and a half games.

He's still injured from the World Cup and can't play in AC Milan after almost 2 months!!

Just wondering what people think.. Personally I think he's a solid defender, but I think when you have a player like Steven Gerrard in your squad, you make him your captain. He is probably the most inspirational and maybe the best England player since Alan Shearer.. any thoughts welcome!

NYers love soccer. We have a diverse market with a lot of interested fans. We have 8 million ppl in NYC and 22 million in the metropolitan area. Why can't the MLS and RBNY attract fans?

As a person, of mixed ancestry I found this to be completely and totally depressing. The first time i saw it i cried, i think that's mostly because espn makes everything so dramatic but still...It's horrible. To think that all these players give so much hope to their countries and their fans and they still have to put up with stupid *** ******* people discrediting them. It's atrocious.
It gets me so angry and so sad.
This is why I didn't root for Spain and Italy in the world cup, more Italy because I've seen much worse from them. But when it comes down to it, anybody that likes good football is forced to sit next to racists because all the good teams are victims of it. I don't want to root for FC Barcelona, because they are a team based in Spain and my fellow fans are racist yet...I can't help it, I love Barcelona and i don't have much of a choice, there is no escape.

...she puts me and others in positions we have hardly played in our life. We're not super good and we're young for a JV team playing lots of older kids. I want to tell her that i think we would do better if we played the positions we play best, but my friend tried to tell her she wasnt getting anything out of the drills and now she has to sit out four games! I know I should respect her but its so hard when she puts me in mid when im normally defense!!!!!!!!
