There are a lot of great matches coming up, as we move to the last eight teams of the FIFA world cup. How do you think FRANCE vs SPAIN game will end? Which team will go home? How about BRAZIL vs GHANA? Is this Africa's time? Will the only team left from Africa also go home, or will Brazil join the fate of the four in the top five, who have gone home?

Will it be ITALY or AUSTRALIA? How about SWITZERLAND vs UKRAINE? Who will surrender?

i personally think eng played quite poorly.i dont think that 4-5-1 formation worked that much. eng created prob 3 chances throughout the match, not including the goal. ecuador played really poorly , and i think if eng had played a better attacking team they would have lost.

Chuck a sickie = Aussie slang for calling in sick when you aren't.
The game is at 1am and I am going to be out in the city soaking up the atmosphere, so won't get home until it is time to leave for work....

This will be a great match between European and South American. Until now we have seen European countries are making a big move in this world cup, and South American represented by Brazil & Argentina, 2 big names in South American Country.
Will Argentina bring the South American team to the next round. Or will the European continues the glory this time.

2 specific situations I'm referring to: the 2nd French non-goal (appeared to be over the line but the ref didn't allow it, leading to a draw), and some point in the Korea-Switzerland game when the Swiss were apparently offsides but it wasn't called. I'm asking b/c I've heard that in the past and in the game with France, the refs have been soft on Korea, but now following Korea's loss to the Swiss, the Koreans around me are complaining about bad calls. (I live in South Korea right now, I'm from the U.S. and I really have no knowledge of or opinion about football, so I'm seeking opinions from those more informed than I.)

I know that Uruguayan referee Jorge Larionda (Who refereed the USA v. Italy match) has had his referee license suspended and/or revoked at least once for "irregularities". Does anyone know the specifics on this?
