Australia has come a long way in this World Cup which is great to see in our Country but i think has the stronger team and will win, i am going for both teams though since i am Italian and I live in Australia haha. Go Aussies and Go Italy!!!

First of all i think it will not be a tied....
Until we saw an unexpecting matches in this World Cup for all teams except for Germany and Brazil.
For ITALY they are going tough time to get through to 2nd rounds, and it may mean they are not really do well in this World Cup. An even they have not met Australia in any occassions. But Australia's coach Guus Hiddink, hmm, he knows well about Italy when he rides South Korea last World Cup and South Korea made the 4th pos. Italy might be facing another embarassed if they lose this time, than it would be the 2nd time Hiddink get them.
For Australia, this World Cup is another history for them where this year is their 2nd appearance. Hiddink knows well about Italy
, and hoping that Aussie will get a lead in the first half, at least, then set the team to defensive mode for the 2nd half.
If Aus scores the first goal, than it would be a great chance for them to win this match. They will change their strategy to defensive , becoz Italy will sure head for the equalizer.
Its hard to guess, but as i'm thuinking Aus will win if they really get a goal first before Italy.
But if Italy is going for any points shooting (shoot from anywhere) than they sure will win the match with at least 2-1. The first half will be Italy to score first.

I think the Aussies will win with a controversial penalty in extra time. Hiddink beat Italy in the last World Cup with a lesser team than Australia. Australia may be the underdogs, but you can guarantee Italy would be nervous going into this game and it could prove to be their undoing.

That would be technically imposible for the simplest fact that Australia is not capable of scoring 2 goals against Italy. Italy is much stronger and much more skilled than Australia. Overtime is not an option in this match, let alone PK's.

well australia to score first by cahill brilliance they will loose a player in the first half holding on to their 1-0 lead. italy will prove too strong and win 3-1.
dont feel i am bagging australia they have made a huge achievement too much glory on viduka the future is these younger players very skillful and fast exciting football watch out brazil in 4 years.Australia have proven they are a worthy football nation its time for the media and sponsors to back the sport and move forward into the 21st century.

Italy has better history. Australia have come a good way so far. However, I think Italy's performance was not that good so I think it will be a tuff game and probably the australians will do it and beat the Italians!
