The laws of the game require goalkeepers to wear colors that are different from the other players and the referees. This is so they are easily identifiable so that the referee does not call handball infractions on the goalkeeper by mistake. It is a very easy mistake to make if the goalkeeper is not distinct from the other players.

if u don't know u should not watch soccer. cuz u have to distinguish them from the players to u don't pass the ball thinking its a player
and for the first person, that answered this question: goal keeping is a very hard position the play, I've been playing soccer since i was 9, and i have played goal keeper for a while, and its not as easy as it looks, u have to have a very quick reaction time and be alert at all times. weather your team wins or lose depends on how many balls u can keep from the back of the net

So that they can be identified easily. The goalie has certain rights that other players don't, so the refs need to be able to tell them apart from regular players quickly and from a distance.

'cos they think they are so special. they also wear the #1 jersey. yet all they do is wait around the goal for something to happen, and when it does they blame the rest of their team.
