To fine players for dancing in the endzone....thats the fun of the whole game, and they go and fine T.O for his "spy-cam" celebration
and Chad Johnson for his CPR routine...
this is AN OUTRAGE!
am i going crazy or does it just suck
and why is that rule there....i know it has nothing to do with "feelings" getting hurt

10. Notre Dame fans who hang on to the glory days and completely ignore that their current team isn't that good.

9. Bowl Games....All of them.

8. Drunken fans who throw things at opposing fans, players, etc.

7. Drunken fans, period.

6. Fans who think their school's team is unstoppable or unbeatable.

5. The Florida State War Chant. Don't get me wrong, it's cool. BUT EVERY DOWN!?

4. People who feel the need to say that their conference or division inside the conference is the best in college football. (Ex. SOME Pac-10/SEC fans saying that Stanford/Vandy could beat ANYONE in another conference)

3. Fighting between players on the field. Not macho, not classy.

2. A cowardly trend where the best schools (With Exceptions like USC, Texas, LSU) refuse to schedule schools their equal and instead schedule Northwest Southern Louisiana A&M.

1..... The Bowl Championship Series. Need I say More?

both teams are off to an impressive start but Detroit looks much tougher defensively and offensively. Calvin Johnson has more talent and clutch ability than any offensive player on the Patriots. the Lions are super bowl bound are they not?

two faced rat ? they tried to simulate snaps to draw the offense offsides in last weeks game vs the Ravens. In a losing effort i might add.brian Billick lambasted him over it.
second question.....do you think other teams in the NFL think Mangeni is a snitch and will collectively alianate him.For example when Mangeni is done in NY jets no other team will want anything to do with him because he is a rat ?

You can't do this, you can't use that ... you can't. You can't. You can't. ... What is wrong with the NFL? it sounds more like kinder garden then a league of pro football players. TO fined $7,500 for mimicking the illegal taping? Big deal ... it is fun, it is celebration, it is a show ... is the NFL becoming way too serious with the rules?

I mean, he played in the league for 15 years or so, yet only made it to the Super Bowl ONCE (during his second year). Sure, he has a lot of stats, but the ring is what they play for (Just ask Peyton and Brady).

I keep reading article after article saying that USC proved they were the number 1 team with their win over Nebraska. HOW? Because they put up points? Like they're the only team that has done that!? Here's some stats for you.

Offense

TDs Ypg Passypg Rushypg
USC 12 439 175 264
LSU 17 483 252 232
UF 21 521 286 234

Defense
TDs Ypg Passypg Rushypg

USC 5 336 272 65
LSU 1 128 98 30
UF 5 279 233 46

I'm a gator fan, but by my calculations LSU should be 1 Florida should be 2 and MAYBE USC should be 3. Thoughts?

i am a diehard eagles fan, and from the looks of the first 2 games?
we're going nowwhere fast.
i say we finish 6-10, 7-9.
but, that gives us a pick in the draft between say, 8-15?
i say by week 8, if we're not 5-3 at least, tank the year.
get a top 10 pick next year and get DeSean Jackson.
he's going to tear it up in the NFL.
then in the second round, grab dennis dixon out of oregon.
ik this isnt likely, but i watched kolbs preseason games, and hes throws ducks for deep balls.
i love dixon, he reminds me of mcnabb when he was younger.
he runs more, is faster, and throws the ball farther.
i think he needs some polishing
thoughts?

In there first 2 games they lost and I think they didn't communicate well. The team is full of talented probowl players like Brian Dawkins, Takeo Spikes, Donovon McNabb, and maybe Brian Westbrook. With these talented players why won't they win. Will they bounce back and possibly end the season with the rest of there games as wins making them 14-2

the NFL (No Fun League) fined T.O. $7,500 for his touchdown celebration.
He wasn't rubbing anything into the other teams face, he was just being silly...for about 2 seconds..and they still fined him over 7 thousand dollars.
Owens fined 'thousands' for videotape TD celebration

I think it's rediculous. Is anyone actually in favor of them taking the fun out of the league?
I guess my question is more like a poll question. How many of you think they should just let them have fun and allow us to have fun with it, or allow us to hate the person doing it, or whatever. And how many of you think it's good policy to keep the players from celebrating?

I personally think the fans should create an official celebration organization, take donations from NFL fans, and pay the fines levied by the league...Let the players play and have fun!

In light of the "FilmGate" situation in New England, can we really compare Tom Brady to the upper tier QBs we have seen throughout history (Montana, Aikman, Elway, P. Manning)? Is he that good? Or does knowing the defense plan and signals before the game actually make him better?

I hate the Wolverines, but last week's game against lowly Notre Dame might have turned them around. I think they are a pretty good football team that was caught off guard one week and then was deflated and ran into a very good team, Oregon, the next.

Wow are the Eagles really 0-2? Do you think they have a chance of getting back in the race now that Westbrook may be injured and McNabb playing the way he's playing.
