Jerry Glanville once told a ref that the NFL was gonna stand for NOT FOR LONG if he kept making bad calls against his team.
Considering the NFL'S decision to fine the players for a little dancing in the end zone is crazy. I enjoy a little jig when a great TD is made. I love seeing a player jump into the arms of the fans sitting in the stands when a great TD is made. So hopefully, NOT FOR LONG, fines against players for a little celebration when hard-work has finally paid off will be no more.

If that have been the case, then any time a QB is approximately to get sacked, he can purely purely throw it at present all the way down to the floor. And via doing so, there does not be too many sacks in the NFL. Spiking the ball is intentional grounding in case you do no longer do it in the present day.

well, it would be nice if they would spend as much time cracking down on real issues like the health care of retired and crippled players than worrying if Ocho Cinco is goona do the River Dance.
And since the other players like it, why shouldn't they celebrate. Bodden and Ray Lewis just call it incentive to keep him outta the end zone....and if they can't do it, they let him him dance. The only time I see a problem with it was when it was becoming an overboard, 10 minute affair, with everyone tryin to do the Ickey Shuffle.

The NFL tries to promote team unity and professionalism to its younger demographics. TD dances promote the opposite. Not saying I agree with it but that's just the way it is. Two of the best to ever play (Barry Sanders, LT) rarely celebrate and never danced. All in a days work.

It is ridiculous...they should focus on spending those billions of dollars on the guys who played before the 90's and who gave their lives and bodies to this game and made it what it is today.

I don't know if you know this but they don't play the game so guys can dance in the endzone. If this is why you watch the game then you should watch American Idol or So You Think You Can Dance. It's a sport, showing up your opponent isn't "the fun of the whole game". What are you? Gay?

As a Patriot fan, I'm wondering if Shawn Merriman has ever been fined for his sack dance...

i agree with you 100%, i've even heard the nfl referred to as the no fun league. whoever made that rule is obviously a pathetic old man who wants to make everyone else just as miserable as he is.

yeah, i agree. that ticks me off quite a bit too. i miss the 90's where you got to see all the celebrations. qbs had to earn their yardage and victories through tougher defenses at the time as qb's are treated as kings now. i'm sick of, "oh, you can't hit so and so that hard." this is football!!!!!!
