nope, you pretty well covered it.

Though as a Notre Dame fan, I gotta say you got #1 wrong....our current team "isn't that good".... actually our current team is offensively the worst in the Nation...and if some fans can't handle the truth, they are in for a lot of dissapointment.

Bu ththe rest, right on.... ( though I think you might find this link enlightening, as too why some of us, while conceding that the Irish blow this season, have not given up all hope....kinda like your Saints....

I have to agree with you, but #4. Im a Kentucky fan and I can say that no conference matches the SEC. I know teams like USC, Miami, Ohio State, or Michigan can recruit as well as anyone in the country but theres 5-6 SEC schools that recruit hard and do it right. I thought it was amazing how Florida took Ohio State and gave them a pounding of a lifetime. I hate how the BCS is set up, there needs to be a playoff system or something. I also hate how analysts think they know everything and that makes me ill to my stomach. I hate rankings cuz even though im an SEC fan, Tennessee is overrated every year, just because of a guy named Peyton Manning. They suck! Notre Dame is horrible and Appalachian State could beat them 50-0. #2 Yea I agree with that a lot because Boise State thinks they could contend with USC or LSU and thats crazy. Their on a level with someone like Louisville, good offense and no defense. I was just glad to see Woodson out perform Brohm and watch my hometown team bring back the cup.

I hate how the pac 10 gets hyped up every year. They need to play more games against the SEC and Big 12. Almost every year between these two conferences and Ohio State, there is a team that is as good or better than USC, but USC rules recruting on the west coast where there is basically only one conference.

And we can do with all the bowl games before say, Christmas day.

Well, most of yours I agree with, though I wouldn't make teams like LSU and Texas exceptions to the "not playing equals" rule (LSU has played its share of Louisiana-Lafayettes and Western Illinoises, as has Texas with North Texas and New Mexico State). My 10:

10. Penn State and their fans who think they're God's gift to the universe.

9. Lou Holtz

8. The season is WAY too short.

7. Players who would rather sit the pine and play for a "winner" vs. going to a non-winning program and doing their best to turn it around (like the Bulls were any good before Michael Jordan showed up).

6. Notre Dame's special treatment.

5. Too many should be I-AA teams in I-A.

4. Michigan.

3. Their idiotic fans.

2. Jim Delaney and his ilk for opposing a playoff system, and all of the "bowl advocates" who can't see that it works at all other levels.

1. Weak-*** non-conference scheduling by way too many teams, and the NCAA for setting up a system by which the number of wins is more important than who you beat.

1. The national champ from the year before is not automatically #1 the next year. No one beat them so why is the top spot taken from them?

2. Teams running up the score to "impress" the BCS numbers.

3. All the hype over the Heisman race, and then after its awarded, its instantly forgotten.

4. The ESPN analysts jumping from one bandwagon to another like hop-scotch and never admitting they were wrong after making one of thier "expert" predictions.

5. People proclaiming their teams are so great, until they lose, then they make excuses. (ex: USC is the greatest team ever, yet they lose every year)

6. USC is the "Golden Child" of the country.

7. People talking trash to you about your team like you have anything to do with what they do on the field.

8. People saying teams like Boise St. are not on the level of the upper ranked teams. How do you know? Have you seen them play against the top teams in a secret game no one knows about?

9. People who knock the BCS even though they have provided a #1 vs #2 championship game every year. (With the exception of Auburn when they went undefeated)

10. People comparing conferances. Every school and every conferance have up and down seasons. Right now the SEC is the best conferance, but who knows who will be on top 5 years from now. Right now USC and Oklahoma are on top, but where were they 7 years ago? Miami was on top 5 years ago, and now they arent even ranked. It happens to every team.
