they landed the two best running backs in the country in joe mcknight and marc tyler. but why do they keep going after RBs if they already have guys like emmanuel moody, cj gable and stafon johnson. i mean, those guys are going to be sophomores!

Fryar entered the league out of Nebraska as the #1 pick of the draft super-gifted: 6 foot 200 pounds, freakish strength, cartoon-size hands and legitimate 4.3 speed.
Unfortunately, he was also a thug who took drugs and beat women, and he was stuck on a terrible New England team for 9 years, his entire physical prime, and put up weak numbers.
Then he found God and got traded, resurrecting his career in his 30s with the Dolphins and the Eagles, notching 5 1,000 yard seasons with both teams all after age 30 and ending his career in the top 10 in most categories. 5-time pro-bowler.
He was always durable and tough, and when his physical powers were at there zenith, he was an idiot on a bad team a and had no numbers.
This has extra relevance with Michael Irvin just being inducted.
Final Numbers for Fryar: 851 catches (10th alltime) 12,785 (10th alltime) both better than Michael Irvin's career numbers.

What did you think about the way in which Miami, Florida hosted Super Bowl XLI? Did you think it was a good performance when compared to former Super Bowls in Miami and what do you think Miami could do better when hosting Super Bowl XLIV in 2010?

I'm inclined to say no. One season of 1,600 plus yards, one very controversial rushing title (statistician gave him a yard over Alexander), no championships, never regarded as best back in the league.
But the cumalitive numbers are there. Top-5 all time rushing yards and 10 straight 1,000 plus. For me, Martin is like the football version of Rafeal Palmeiro (minus the steriods), meaning he has these great overall numbers but was never an elite player.

Is consistency and durability enough to get into the Hall?
