Its like this...Pete Carrol plays the best players at their particular position, he does not care whether or not you are a fr or Sr, and when you build a program like the one USC has, you no longer recruit, you just pick and choose, Marc Tyler has a bit a ways to go, I've seen him play, but he went to school that was in a very weak division, Come spring time everyone will get there shot, some people may have to red shirt, and USC Back UP QB Sanchez...trust me, he has a way better arm than Booty...the future is going to be so ridiculous for SC....Fight On!!!

they will be sophomores and then quite possibly make the jump to the nfl after that. you now have your next group of running backs all lined up, all you gotta do is redshirt them in 2007 then their freshman year of playing is 2008. they guys they already have were probably redshirted during the lendell white reggie bush days. that makes this year actually their third year out of high school and makes them elligible for the pros. it makes for smart football. you plan for the future now instead of trying to replace the current guys or even reggie bush and lendell after they are already gone. that is why USC remained at the top of the rankings this year after that whole team was gone on to the pro's. Most teams have a good 2 or three year run then guys join the NFL and the university starts rebuilding. USC is preventing any lapse in national championship contention. sounds like they have the smartest coach in sports. not just college sports.

a million. no person realizes how effective USC's QB device has been interior the previous 5 years. He has ony began 3 QB's Palmer, Leinart, and Booty. All have or are poised at getting the Heisman. however the X element is Matt Cassell backup to Tom Brady for the NE Patriots. He by no potential began or maybe hardly snapped a ball in college yet his potential and coaching at USC led him to be a seventh around draft %.. *meaning you dont could play to be triumphant* that's why Mustain is transfering. 2. RB's all think of they are the main suitable and in the event that they are in a position to return out on suitable in USC's "maximum suitable in prepare performs" philosophy they be attentive to they are going to be professional textile popping out of faculty/ You dont could be #a million to be triumphant (Lendale White) 3. USC is surely NFL prep. They dont exchange to the shotgun or do fancy performs like different college communities b/c thats what the professionals do and meaning popping out of faculty they could have already been interior the device. 4. Who can say no to the group in l. a./Hollywood the place they are taken care of like gods on campus or maybe the full l. a.. (because of the fact l. a. has no professional soccer, there is entirely UCLA and USC) Matt Leinart hangs with the celebs! CMON! 5. No different coach is extra interesting to be around than Pete Carroll, hes like between the infants... with white hair. 6. they choose to win. era.

there is not an answer to your question. the only thing that makes any sense is that pete carroll, being the former pats coach that he is may be thinking along the same lines as their current coach...like this. he's looking for football players...he's obviously not going to convert these guys to wide receivers, dbs or lbs but they are what he's gotta be considering as multi purpose guys and he's ok with having them if he envisions them in one scenario where one would be better than the other. you don't always want your speediest guy's responsibility to be picking up the 5 yards which is normally too hard for your big back. so you get someone in between (not literally) their sizes/abilities that you think might help you in situations. beyond this though, they do have tons of very similar talent, but he is the man and as importantly, he is the coach. i still think that this is not a real answer though, there is no reason for what they've done. i guess we'll see though. i think i could write about this forever, sorry for rambling but my god it's quite a situation.

why wouldnt you want 4 top backs battling out to be a starter??? if one gets hurt, oh well...you wont worry about any let down with your back up in. also, you a can rotate them in throughout the game. as USC does all the time. always have a fresh back in at all times. so in the 4th quarter the Def is tired but your backs are ready to rock!!!
***side note*** RODNEY...Moody is from TX and McKnight is from LA...USC doesnt only recruit in CA.
FIGHT ON TROJANS!!!!

It really does not make a whole lot of sense. I think it's kinda cheap in a sense. They dont care about your academics at USC. Thats why schools like PSU, ND, OSU dont get alot of top notch recruits in the country. It also helps that Cali is the biggest state so they have alot more players to recruit from. But to answer the question, it really doesnt make alot of sense to recruit all them RB's and quite frankly, if I were one of them RB's, I would pick another school to guarantee quick playing time.

There's nothing wrong with having too many running backs. Although a lot of those guys might transfer.
