Football takes an incredible amount of skill. The play books are very hard to read in most cases and any day to day person would look completely lost on a football field trying to do what these guys make look easy. Understandable these guys aren't all geniuses but they know what they are doing on the football field because most of them study relentlessly to be there.

Let's look at an average catch for a WR in football. Somehow you have to manage to catch a ball, mid-air, over another guy, while somehow attempting to get your feet down before you go flying out of bounds. Oh and did I forget to mention that these guys hit you with the impact of a major car wreck (just ask those kids that did the helmet impact study at Virginia Tech).

If it didn't take skill we'd all be NFL millionaires and Rex Grossman wouldn't have anything to worry about ha.

Not quite. I started playing football when I was 8 and I stopped when I was 22. Trust me it takes skill. It takes endurance. It takes passion. It takes strength.

Of course it does. All the players in the NFL, even the back ups are really skilled and talented. They wouldn't be in the pros if they weren't. It takes athleticsm, agility, strength, speed, a god given arm if you're a qb, etc. NFl players are very skilled.
