That would eliminate the Michigan problem. UM could still be ranked number 2 they just couldn't play for the championship because they didn't win the Big Ten.

So far an average team with their schedule would be undefeated.

Theres always a team that deserves to be in it but they are left out!

It's obvious that a plyoff system is needed!

I know one thing...Michigan has the best argument in playing in the Championship game and if we are left out just because the voters don't want to see a rematch...well thats crap!!!!!!!

Now, before you start saying they had their shot and all that crap.Listen to me.How many defeats does Michigan,Florida,Arkansas, and Notre Dame have (rutgers are showing the mediocracy of the big east right now by getting whooped by Cincinnati) they all have one! And which loser lost to the highest ranked team? Michgan...we lost to the number one team in the country on the road!Plus we beat Notre Dame so how can they make it. USC lost to an unranked team! and we looked better losing than they did winning. And don't tell me that you honestly think that Arkansas or Florida is better then Michigan.(Not to mention that Arkansas still has LSU.)

Now prove me wrong.

No doubt it should be Florida if they run the table...they will have just 1 loss to a 10-2 team. They will have beaten Arkansas, Tenn., and LSU.

USC, LVille, WVU...these teams shouldnt even be mentioned.

USC - loses to 7-4 Oregon St., hasnt beaten anyone worth mentioning yet (Arkansas was w/o their starting QB and their best player McFadden was hurt and only played a few series). Cal is not very good as you saw on the opening game of college football against UT. Oregon St. is awful and they were beaten by them, title shot should be GONE.

LVille - the whole BigEast is so overrated, LVille's big W over Maimi isnt so big now that Miami is like 5-7...HAHA yeah great W. They were beaten by Rutgers who just got drilled by Cinci.

WVU - they were beaten by LVille and have 0 quality wins, 0. Pitt sucks, even if they beat Rutgers bid deal they were a product of a very very very weak schedule.

It has to be either Florida or Michigan in the title game, edge to Florida

i am from oakland,CA. i am a devoted buckeye fan. my father and grandfather are both from columbus,OH and instilled their love and passion for ohio st. in me. as me my dad and grandfather celebrated ohio st. victory over michigan (who in my opinion is still the 2nd best team in the country and which i am not afraid to say that they still deserve a shot at the title against us again) i was abruptly upset when i had turned to the nfl network where their analysts discussed the great game and a great performance by troy smith. after a heisman effort against a great michigan team hey discussed about his draft stock and i was shocked when i heard one of the analyst said that troy smith was the probably the 2nd or maybe the 3rd best qb to go in the draft. i mean COME ON!! didnt you just see the game. tell me what brady quinn has done to make him a better qb than troy. as a person of color sometimes i feel its unfair and right now i wanna pull the race card
but im not and i wont but its hard

Most college football historians (see The Sporting News) feel that the 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers are the best ever. What do you think?

I mean, after watching the game is it fair to label Michigan as the #2 ranked team in the nation. The #1 team plays against the #2 team in the BCS title game regardless if both teams play in the same conference, right? In a big game and for what was at stake, one team had to lose. Would the result have been the same if the game was played at a neutral site? Are there really any other teams worthy of the #2 ranking?
