I am a Buckeye fan But Michigan is a great time also. That's what make them playing a great game. I don't think they should have a rematch this year. Next year regular season they will have their chance.

The BCS is ridiculous. It would actually be even more ridiculous, though, if it does end up in a rematch of OSU & Michigan. What if Michigan wins the rematch? Are they National champs because they beat OSU in January instead of in November? The only way they could rematch and determine a true champ is if either OSU wins the rematch, or if Michigan wins the 2nd game and then they play a 3rd game between the 2 to decide the champ. But that won't happen, so a rematch makes things even more absurd. I don't think it will happen anyway, but it could if a couple more teams lose. Problem is, USC and Notre Dame's hardest game left is against each other, so the other team will probably come out of that game.
Why not take the top 8 (or 10 and give the top 2 a bye) teams and let them have a playoff. It would only take 3 weeks, or even 2 and a half if they do some Thursday games. You could still have the bowl games act as the playoff games, so the bowl traditions (& money) would still be there. Plus, that would get rid of the ridiculous 40 some days the final teams have between their final regular season game and their bowl game. How can they possibly stay in game shape, physically and especially mentally with that kind of layoff?

I wonder if the game was played early in the season if people would feel differently. How can a team be punished for losing by 3 points on the road to the no 1 ranked team in the country. I still think Michigan is the number 2 team. (maybe number 1).
I don't think a team should play for a National Championship if they don't win there conference. but, MI should still be ranked number 2. (Just not be allowed to play OSU again as they didn't win the conference.

I say to let a computer ranking system figure it out. That way it can cross check between season record & schedule strenght etc. No emotional ties would be involved and it would probably be the fairest way. Why reward a team that plays a soft schedule. It would put the two best teams together.
The other option is for a play-off system . Every other division in College Football has one, why not division 1A?

BCS is a joke...sports writers and coaches should not decide who plays for what. They need a playoff, many people have written stories with feasible ideas for this to happen and the current bowls still stay in place. The NCAA is too stubborn to admit that they are wrong and correct the problem. They will continue to hide behind the students and classwork as an excuse.
