I mean, after watching the game is it fair to label Michigan as the #2 ranked team in the nation. The #1 team plays against the #2 team in the BCS title game regardless if both teams play in the same conference, right? In a big game and for what was at stake, one team had to lose. Would the result have been the same if the game was played at a neutral site? Are there really any other teams worthy of the #2 ranking?

NO they don't deserve a rematch. They had their chance and couldn't do it. There are other one loss teams that DIDN'T get a chance and SHOULD. I don't care that it wasn't a neutral site. I don't care that the home team won. Heck I don't care if Michigan only lost because Bo just died. The fact is they now have ONE LOSS and HAD A CHANCE. They don't deserve another one unless the other one loss teams lose. Why punish the other programs for not losing to Ohio State? Heck why not make this an arguement for a Texas rematch too? OK fair enough they are now a two loss team but they lost their QB part way through the game so let's pretend they won instead. Would they deserve another chance? They lost at home to OSU and showed they couldn't beat them EARLY in the season but come on they didn't lose LATE in the season. How much better can Michigan get? My point is that as long as there is ANY other one loss team they deserve that chance more then Michigan because the cards fell where they did for Michigan. They got that matchup at the end of the season and couldn't do it. I don't care that it would be a neutral site. They COULDN'T DO IT. Oh and USC will likely end up at number 2 if you ask me and they belong there just as much. I don't like USC, I think they are over-ranked simply to make up for the so called "East Coast Bias" but they have won their confrence now and they haven't had a chance at OSU. Sure their loss was to a crappy team. Sure some try to say well they made a comeback, to which I say THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN LOSING. Point is they haven't had a chance against OSU and IF they win out why not have a Championship of the Pac-10 vs. Big-10?

Yes! If the #1 and #2 ranked teams play each other, the looser should not be ranked any lower than #2. There may be other teams worthy of the #2 ranking, but I don't think Michigan should drop any lower because they lost to the 31 ranked team.

I would like to see a rematch for the championship but it won't happen. It's going to be Ohio State vs USC, and ohio will just kick a butt or two and it won't be that good of a game. That was a very good game. I hate both teams being a Badgers fan, but it was just a great football game. USC smacked Cal this evening so they will be in the championship game. It's a shame though.

At first, I wasn't in favor of another OSU - Michigan game so soon. I have changed my mind. When all of the regular season games are done, if they are still number 1 and 2, they deserve to play in the championship game. I think it would be interesting to see them play on a neutral field. I also think it would be interesting to see the coaches gameplans for a rematch. I hope they play again.

No team other than Michigan can truly
match up to OSU this season..
as a Trojan fan, i must say
that the only reason why Michigan shouldn't
play OSU again is if USC wins out..

and that's something shaky right now.

Absolutely!!! If you barely lose to the "best team in the country" and not to Oregon State, I think Michigan deserves the chance at a rematch. Especially since this game was in Columbus.

Had Michigan won, would Ohio State deserve another chance (against Michigan)?
I think the short answer is no.

I hate to say this but MIchigan always chokes during a big game. My son wenrt here during 2000 to 2004 and it seems they never won a game. They are still my team though.

what they should really do to be fair is have a playoff series, but that will never happen when they can make money from the commercial value on 10 superbowls
