they were beaten by an unranked team??? Has it ever happened? It will this year b/c USC was that team, and no matter what happens ppl are still stuck up USC's a** knowing they dont deserve to go. A natl contender shouldnt be beaten by a team not ranked, it has never happened to my knowledge so if it has please enlighten me.

Florida - 1 loss, to #11 Auburn
Michigan - 1 loss, to #1 Ohio State
USC - 1 loss, to unranked Oregon St.

How in the hell can you make a valid argument for USC?? Even furthur

Mich vs. Notre Dame - Mich wins 47 - 21 at South Bend
USC vs. Notre Dame - USC wins 44-24 at USC...

So Mich went to Notre Dame and beat them worse than USC did at home...yet they jump then in the BCS. The BCS is so damn biased...

Screw the BCS and the NCAA, the smaller bowls should start their own playoff.

1. Get seven non-BCS bowl games to cooperate (eg. Sun, Liberty, Independence).

2. Invite eight quality teams from this list (not invited to the BCS):

Boston College . 9-3
Rutgers ........ 10-1
West Virginia .. 9-2
Wisconsin ...... 11-1
Texas A&M ...... 9-3
Houston ........ 9-3
Brigham Young .. 10-2
Oregon State ... 8-4
Navy ........... 8-3 (only if they beat Army)
Hawaii ......... 10-2
Auburn ......... 10-2
Tennessee ...... 9-3

3. The playoff is a simple, single elimination tournament.

Quarterfinals: Two Friday games, two Saturday games.
Semifinals: The Friday winners play, and the Saturday winners play.
Final: The semifinal winners play for the title.

If this became popular and outdrew the BCS on TV, the NCAA would have to drop the Bull-Crap Series and adopt a playoff.

What could the NCAA do to prevent it? Blackball schools and smaller bowl games for participating?

That's right boys and girls,it is I,the accuser,back in the United States for a short time to give the enemy a brief,but well needed break before I ship out again to rain Hell and death down on their cute little jihad.While I'm here,I need to learn as much as possible about the game of football.My little one,appropriately dubbed "The Beast" by his teammates,is starting high school football this coming year and I need to brush up on the subject.Any help will be appreciated and taken off any time you may have to spend with me later.Anybody miss me? Notre Dame Football. I posted why they are not that great of a team, and I got bashed by one of Charlie's Angels who really believe Notre Dame's schedule was so hard, and they had the 2nd hardest schedule based on preseason rankings! This just in we play in the regular season not the preseason, and those same people who gave those preseason rankings also don't think Notre Dame is worth a lick! Ranked #12 in your almighty USA Today poll! Maybe you are right maybe we all should bow down to Notre Dame, but if you are arguing that just because Navy is 9-3 that makes them a good team go back to your fairy tale land!!!

I don't need preseason rankings there are computers that make strength of schedule rankings its called the BCS, and ND is 10th in BCS standings, I hope they play a Arkansas, or Florida, or Oklahoma, and get beat again.

I am a fan of the NFL and I think it is absurd to fine NFL players and penalize them for "celebrating" using the football as a prop or what have you. I remember when Terrell used the football as a pillow after he scored or Chad Johnson's Riverdance, or Joe Horn's cell phone
or Terrell Owens gift to Salvaton army pot on Turkey day. Brandon Jacobs using the football to honor his pregnant wife under his jersey. I just think this adds entertainment to the game and flair. The players should be able to celebrate any way they wish.

Hi. I'm a season-ticket holder and I think it's time to get rid of the Michael Vick Experience since it has too many ups and downs. What do you think can be traded for him? Maybe 2 first round draft picks? After watching Vince Young against the NYG he is truly fun to watch. I thin he is a better passer and slightly less better runner but overall I'd take Young over Vick, especially with Vicks antics flippin the bird to the crowd and throwing his teammates under the bus after this weeks loss.
He told reportes receivers have to start catching the ball. Hello your throws suck.
