It's getting very interesting here in Alabama. The rumors are running rampant. I would love to have Spurrier or Saban. Supposedly, they have not spoken to anybody, but, I find that hard to believe. I think we will have an announcement by Friday. Or at least I hope it will not go on longer than that.

Gene Stallings had the fans support and was a winning coach after Bear. We do want someone to live up to Bear's standard in winning games but I think any top football program demands that. Shula deserved to be fired. He had 4 years to make the necessary coaching changes and he didn't because he's a nice guy and didn't want to fire anyone. Nice guys are well and good if you are looking for someone to date but not when it comes to winning football games.

I think they are crazy for firing Shula! But that is just my opinion. I just hope they don't hire Spurrier.

They could do a lot worse than Steve Kragthorpe at Tulsa.

Doesn't matter who they get, because Auburn owns there @$$ right now!! Maybe they ought to go look up Mike Price in one of the strip clubs and give him another shot!!
