ive been a vikings fan forever and trust me when i say Tarvaris Jackson has no upside, cannot play in the national football league and should have been cut 2 years ago when we started Gus Frerotte over him. he is just a terrible QB with no accuracy and who can do absolutely nothing against a good D... he can put up numbers against bad d's but if you have seen him against a good D he gets about 150 yards and maybe 1 TD 1 Int. His preseason numbers were astoundingly bad and he should have been cut. He wouldnt and shouldn't even start for the Cleveland Browns. If you want a good reference material for why he shouldn't start go watch the Philadelphia Eagles playoff game that took place in Jan 09. Its his most recent game he started for the Vikings and he was absolutely atrocious.

while Brad Johnson knows what its like to win a Super Bowl and has established himself as a veteran they need to let Tarvaris Jackson because you can't win football games on running the ball every down or throwing short crappy passes. either that or let Brad Johnson throw the ball longer.

Do you get paid by the Vikings if not then stop using"we" cause I`m sure your not on the roster and no Brad Johnson is their best option

I think you guys should start him. Brad is decent, but Childress is kidding himself if he believes he's the long-term answer. They should at least let him get valuable playing-time. They needn't come out and say he's the starter next year, just admit the play-offs are a pointless endeavour in a tactful manner, and get him some playing experience. If he's not going to be ready, fine. Decent veterans like Jake Plummer and Drew Bledsoe could/will be available as stop-gaps while Jackson learns...

Seems to me the poor and inconsistant play of the Viking WRs and TEs as a whole is more of problem than Johnson.

After we won the Super Bowl herer in Tampa, he wasn't living of what he did the previous year...
Brad Johnson should keep starting because he's a veteran...

I think they need to start Tavaris Jackson too. He is athletic, fast and he can throw the ball harder than Johnson. He is young and needs to get experience under his belt because he is the future of the team. I saw him in preseason and he looked good.
